Patch 7.0 is out

Hoping the UDP means we can finally use the third party apps that are currently only available for PC users

Yes we can use apps now I read on the forums that PS4 users could use it too now. I want the spotters app.
The controversy in the patch are the tyres. Another patch which changes the behaviour of the tyres in terms of temperatures. I will test it in some minutes and see if it's really that bad how every PC players describes it.
The camber exploit is finally gone, too.

Tried the spotters app demo, it's amazing I will pay the 5 euros!


Furthermore I did some testing:

I ran my 6.0 setup with the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 on Oschersleben and it was useless because of the camber. The camber got fixed I can approve it.

But the temperatures are the things everyone talks about.

Patch 6:

After 2 laps peak temperatures 140 degrees front left. Steering sensivity @0 I can drive really kind but my temperatures everytime over 120 degrees at the front no matter what. It was undriveable with the Aston. I only managed a 1.28.3 and my PB on the track is a 1.27.7 with the Z4 @ Patch 6. The Z4 is very kind to the tyres, peak temps were 120 degrees front left.

Patch 7:

After 2 laps peak temp was 110. Pushed really hard to get a lap. 121 degrees @ 2,41 bar pressure. Best lap 1.28.041. After 10 laps. Still room for improvement

All in all the patch made it more playable for me but I can understand the debate. I'd like that the different compounds could be a bit more useful, like that everyone will run softs. E.g they should wear a lot quicker and get heated up really easily after a while. Not like in patch 7 but a bit less.

What's the spotters app called? Is it android only as can't find anything on apple

The Crew Chief app is amazing,! I never buy apps but after trying the demo I didn't hesitate to buy it. Sadly it is android only for now.
