Mclaren: 2:02:4 can maybe squeeze a 2:01:8
Mercedes: 2:02:7
Lambo Huracan: 2:02:5
Chevvy: 2:02:7
about all i tested atm with Dave.
I think we are all hitting different times in small doses. We found the Vette to be faster than the Merc easily. Anyway, once we get it close enough I think that'll be good. It's difficult to train a race horse when you're working with a donkey (Forza).
i driven the Vette at Watkins and the SLS at Daytona, i only did 5 laps in all them Cars surely more time somewhere.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
The Merc is only about 3 tenths off the Vette. I'd say once the Ferrari is updated to 831, unless someone wants to look at the Aston, the builds are good to go.

The Jag is like a Jag XD
To the people complaining that the builds aren't out yet, if you actually helped instead of moaning, then maybe they would be out. Thank you to the people putting in times and giving us an idea of what to do with the builds

I think the important outcome to achieve is that there is no one runaway car cause that would ruin the race.

Sounds like what I did, 2 weeks ago. It's right on pace for me with no upgrades, and a full second faster than any of my times with the rear tyre upgrade.
F4H Chrisupra wrote:I think the important outcome to achieve is that there is no one runaway car cause that would ruin the race.
My goal exactly. I also wanted to get as many of the cars in the list as possible, even if they landed a bit behind pace. I know there are people, like myself, that want to run certain cars out of fandom, rather than raw pace.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
I personally think the Ford GT could do with a boost, 10% power and 5% front and rear handicap has destroyed it imo. But i'm aware we have a problem with limited groups.
Anyone else have an opinion on this build?

Obviously been limited to Buckets, we can either put it there if its destroyed as you say and let people run it if they want, or take it out completely, maybe the Dev Team will get together and look at it again.

What are the current buckets?
10% power
10% power + 5% front & rear grip?
Is there another one?

If the Ford GT is "destroyed", add a tyre width onto it s as far as I'm aware, it doesn't have any on

That's what I ended up doing for VEC... rear tire width on it with 10% power and handling I think.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
The build on the Ford does have an upgrade on the rear tyre. It can be a tough time to hit, but I have it at the same lap time as I set in the Bentley in the Doc. You can push it really hard in the mountain, and almost keep it at full throttle around the left-handers at the top. When I was getting the build to where it is, I felt that adding more tyres to it made it too quick, as I was suddenly running at least .5 seconds faster than any other car.

I don't think it'll need any help. I was running the same times as the other cars right off the bat. That's just me though, I'll wait and see what Jay/Matt come up with.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
I certainly agree though that the Ford is the problem child. I spent the most time on the Ford trying to find a better build with different buckets and upgrades, but it all ended up making it or another car way too fast. I decided to submit the build at 870 PI as a compromise to avoid another issue like we had with the Z4.
I just retested it at 870PI, and also with full tyre widths at 875PI.
870PI = 124.257 8th Hot Lap
875PI = 123.797 2nd Hot Lap (1st Hot Lap was 123.907)
Although it's quite difficult for me to get the car to the time set at 870PI, I am able to quickly and consistently run just ahead of my pace with the full tyre upgrades. However, I was unable to run more clean laps in the 875PI build, so I'm not sure I can get it to go much faster. If it allowed more tyre upgrades in smaller increments, I think we could easily find the right build.
Ultimately, I'm just worried that the Ford just may have to sit as a weak link for this round, simply to avoid having the same problem that we had at Le Mans. If some more people (preferably who are faster than me) can give these 2 builds more thorough testing and can show that the 875PI build isn't too fast, then go with it. But given the lack of buckets/smaller upgrades, I personally think the 870PI build is the best option.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
This is what I see in it. I think some people, like yourself, will be able to bring the Ford up to pace with the 870PI build.F4H Diablo wrote:TechnologicMau5 wrote:The build on the Ford does have an upgrade on the rear tyre. It's not consistently fast as you say, which means no one will drive it anyway. I vote tire width.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
I've just tested the Ford GT with a front tyre width and its a lot more competitive now, and should be considered as the final build in my opinion. Comparing it to the other cars I've tested, It's now rightly capable of 2.01s

I got your message on Slack, but it wouldn't let me reply on my phone for some reason. I'm at work until 4 PM CST, so I'll run the Ford when I get home.

Re: TORA TEC Bathurst 12H - Car List & Builds
I tried it at 870 with a rear tire width, and I think it's fair that way. I already had a bit of unfixable oversteer with no tires, so I'd think a front width would be even worse, unless someone has made a tune that works at 871. I can't be bothered to retune with a restriction
