IOR Returns for unfinnished business!

International Online Racing's competition branch debuted in the TORA TCC for the 2008/09 season and got off to a great start, 2 lobby B wins and an A lobby start. Nick managed to get second in the drivers standings, dispite me having a broken xbox and leaving him unsuported (like he needed it anyway ) for the remaining 4 events and 12 races.

This gap in racing meant the team dropped way down the standings, hence the unfinnished business. New sponsors come aboard, the biggest change is Stobart, who will remain on the car with a smaller pressence, being taken over by Auto Trader as main sponsor. Tesco 99 Octane comes aboard too as far as petrol supply goes, but thats about it. As far as drivers go, we have the #11 of Nick Moore, he was the top non-plow guy last year with runner up in the series, holding off Tbbiboy, Kris and Dan. As far as it goes in the expereince department, the #4 of Chad Wilson has seen Forza 2 touring car racing in its many forms, C550, B700, A750, A800 and A850, but the one he abseloutely shone in was B700, taking multiple race wins in the UKOG FTCC and winning the UKVR BTCC series. The newly numbered #99 of Nicky Plunkett has been racing from February of 2008 to February of 2009, in this time he took 3rd place in his FTCC debut and took a tripple victory on his way to runner up in the UKVR BTCC. He was coming back on form before his E74 which triggered 'E74-gate', claiming agression, and, vitaly, DAN2605.

Now with new regulations, IOR want the top spot, and it shouldn't be hard.

Touring Car Times comes aboard/Stobart announced

www.touringcartimes.com will add onto the supporters of IOR Motorsport, and Stobart will be present on the car as a semi-major sponsor, most likely above the rear wheel display wise.

The team are eagerly anticipating the 2009 season which begins in June. It is possible that only two cars will field for the first event, however the team will have all three drivers for all remaining rounds. Unless anybody leaves that is.

Full Team to start season!

The full IOR team will make the opening meeting of the 2009 TORA Touring Car Championship. Nicky, who is expecting to return before June will have time to test and work on the new livery. Nick will also be starting, hoping to carry his major success from the GTC into the TCC.

Expect a full launch of the team in early June.

Nicky predicts tough start to season

'The start of the season will be tough. Firstly, I have no xbox, which isn't really the best situation to be in. Secondly, some of the more established (read: better) teams will be, well, better. I do hope however, that my self lessons on real car tuning will help me tune better, I have developed a simulation software in my very own brain in which the tyre is visualised, I can then put certain loads on the tyre and adjust the camber.

Hopefully my simulations are accurate...'

IOR Autotrader News Update

Right, not much has been going on at the team, I have heard abseloutely nothing from Chad in the past week (except when he asked me if there was any NASCAR on the internet. There was) and my xbox is still in Germany. Or is it. Well, it has most likely been replaced with a new one, seeing as it took them around an hour between the 'we have recieved your console' and the 'your console has been repaired/replaced' message. So, not long now. Im pretty sure what im going to choose as far as the car is concerned, and im thinking about going RWD with the Lexus, ofcourse, as soon as I get back, i shall be investamagating wether this is worthwhile or not. Expect the livery to be cluttered with sponsors, Auto Trader, Stobart, Touring Car Times, Sniff Petrol.com etc.. I'll also be dubuting my new #99 in testing, aswell as the Japanese round of the GTC. I was all excited about FM3, so I may aswell stick a wee logo on about that. Gran Turismo 5 however, looks epic..

Anyway, if you read all of that, please go out for a few hours

Are you checking the status of your console every hour or something? I would hold NO trust in that program other than as a guide.

And they certainly won't send you a new console. They NEVER send new consoles back unless you really kick up stink over it, and then it's not 'new' it's reconditioned.

Think it's YOU who needs to go out for a few hours!

Hey! I got the email which was from an hour earlier, then there was this clicky thing, and i clicked on it, and it said, your xbox has been repaired or replaced. All of this happened within a period of 5 minutes.

And yeah, I probably need to get out, but im soaking up as much of my remainin exam leave time as possible before my last exam on Friday

Stobart looking fowards to new season

The Stobart name will return to the TCC for 2009, and once again, the team will be made up of a SEAT Cupra R and a Ford Focus ST, the only difference is that the #11 of Nick will be replaced by the #4 of Chad. Stobart will switch with Auto Trader as the main sponsor, and the shiny new liveries will be released before the media day.

1 - Thanks for the lovely comment, but Its a completely different Livery from last season, painted from scratch... Oh, your GT livery is exactly the same as last season, isn't it?

pic 2 might have worked a bit better if the whole cone was blurry...but i don't think thats possible
