Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
is it just the fastest driver or an average of the best 2?

Neither- Top 2 times are added together.
So a 1:34 and 1:35 would make a 3:09 for a team's qualifying time.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
It is very strong, but only in Daytona because of the little extra power it got there. On all other tracks it should fit better

The BMW is a giant pain in the ass.
At 15% power, it's way too slow.
At 10% power, it's borderline too fast.
The other cars will come into their own as the season goes on.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
Feel sad for the fellas that put in the dev time still no cigar.
In a 3 round endruo cup and locked in cars maybe would of been better to just drop cars from the list. make it spec? no pit strategy anyway.
better luck with the next effort.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
The BMW is strong at daytona, but over the season is pretty well balanced. Also no top teams have picked the Ford GT and Huracan which are very quick around here as well, so I feel that makes things look worse than they are.

Bit of interesting BoP that sees the Corvette on the slower end at a power track (particularly in comparison to a Z4), but I suspect it's largely on us teams running it.
What were some of the testers able to get it to out of curiosity?

We wanted to run the Huracan but sadly not all our drivers have that car.

Still weird that the car is not obtainable any more. Why don't just do it like the Ford GT is.
You can get it for free. But if you miss that you can buy it for a small price.

Re: American Sports Car Championship - General Chat
The Z4 is strong here. But understand it basically the slowest or mid pack the Ferrari dang near is the quickest car around most of the tracks...wink wink but he ford GT and huracan are very good EVERY CAR has its strong suit. It's almost impossible to make sure every car is balanced if we could we'd use power handicaps of 1% power increments but we don't have that luxury......

could have been easily remedied if they just gave us the race car that they are adding to their non racing car game

The Z4 got a boost for Daytona, so that's why it's quick here. It has a larger restriction for the rest of the season, so you'll see it fall off at quite a few tracks.
As for the Corvette, it is weirdly slow at Daytona despite having decent characteristics overall, but I can assure you that it is very quick around every other track in the calendar. Don't make the mistake of picking a car based on its performance at the first track only.

Yup, we never had the intention of changing, was mostly curious. I assumed it was largely that the guys in the other cars are just faster than us to begin with, certainly not intending to directly fingerpoint at the BoP. Intriguing to note that you were finding it similar, though as I said likely much less than we are finding it in relation to the pace in the field.
Our guys are looking forward to getting the hammer down the rest of the season

Can a team of 5 be in the endurance and sprint cups series but run different liveries on each drivers car?

The Corvette is one of them cars which on paper is nowhere but when you get to round 8 people suddenly realise its been there all the time taking points from you.

For endurance events, all cars need the same exact livery, number included. It's as if you're making driver swaps in one car.
For sprint events, you can only have teams of 3, but your liveries can differ slightly (mirrors, accent colors, etc.)

you would have to split up into teams of 3 and 2 but yes you can run different liveries, we would prefer them to be similar (Like what Cadillac has done this season in imsa, all have the same design but different colors) so yeah would prefer similar but not going to make you change it if they're not. My team is going to run special liveries at one point this season of different historic Porsche 962's seeing how our regular season entry already has that theme

We're trying to resuscitate the hamsters that we employed to do it. Still, you may be able to determine for yourself by process of elimination.
And of course these are still provisional until we give clearly defined words that everything is in order and any incoming/pending SIs are resolved.
