From what I'm hearing about, it seems Xbox Live is having problems for some people at this time, worth bearing in mind if it's still doing so later.

Yep, Can't sign in to XBLive. XBL shows a "core service alert". Hate those red notices. Even the Forza forums are down for me.

All staff are worried about this and have plans for this to go ahead providing XBL is fixed in the next half hour or so. If it is not, expect an announcement from us soon.

Looks like those who are on, are on but those who are trying to log in can't. Meaning about half of the people who want to race currently can't including many staff members (myself inc.) who are hosting the event.

Can someone please help - I've got South African time as GMT +2 which equals BST +1. Do we start at 20:00 GMT or 20:00 BST ? Front thread says GMT, but just need to be 100% sure. Thanks.

OcR Brock was in Nova's lobby alongside me. Brock got 56:477 but live timing as yet doesn't show him as placing any time. If someone could amend that before race invites please would be great. Cheers

Some great driving and battles with some but stupid moves from others that caused crashes.

Also calling the saftey car on last lap was not cool.

Yeah, the rules quite clearly (in red) prohibits a safety car call on the last two laps.

Sorry to upset anyone but it's not the track I just think alot of it is either not enough prepared for a tight Street circuit and/or simply not giving enough room or trying to make passes in very tight sections of the track where more than one car is just too many. Now whether that's down to stubborn mentality of the driver (of which the majority of us are guilty myself included) or simply missing braking point which again is likely on such a short Street circuit.

+1. Agreed, track is fine, but some drivers not. I was disconnected from the first 2 races [lobby 2] so re-entered and watched as spectator. Some certainly showed very good race craft, but hell, some were surely forcing gaps and tried outbreaking and passing others where not even Pastor Maldonado would have taken a chance.

I spoke to Adam about this post race and given the alternative was allowing the rest of the field to pile into a potentially blocked track I agreed that given the circumstances and driving standards displayed he made the correct call.
The rule mentioned above really was set up more for open circuits where run off would mean the chances of the track being blocked is minimal. Regardless of the disappointment some may show at not being able to race for the final two laps this had to be balanced with the need to have an open circuit on which to race. As that was apparently not the case calling an SC was - in my opinion - correct.
