Remnant Racing Season Review
Remnant Racing’s fist full season of racing has seen us create 3 partnerships, 1 win and some solid constructs points.
After a difficult start we have formed solid team, that in 2018 is looking to take more race wins and challenge hard at the front of the grid.
speedfreak106 delivered the team’s first win at Daytona TASCAR, after some great teamwork with isyoube and CarbonfibreYeti.
CarbonfiberYeti finished the TASCAR season a excellent 5th just 25 points behind the driver ahead, isyoube only competed half the season and finished 24th, and speedfreak106 finishing 28th overall, he only competed in 4 races. Bonefiend138 and spartanfit finished 30th and 31st respectively after joining the season for the last three rounds. Remnant Racing finished 5th overall and Remnant Racing - Garencieres finishing 7th.
We hope to come back and really show what we all have this year for a full championship assault.
Remnant Racing made its IndyCar debut at the 3rd Annual running of the indy 500. After a race plagued with issues our drivers strong qualifying efforts amounted to a mediocre result with speedfreak106 finishing 12th, CarbonfiberYeti 21st and ForlornBear2717 DNF. However these drivers are all excited for the next season of IndyCar on Forza 7.
In the official British GT eSports series as a team we finished 14th, with a big thanks to ACG N0 MERCY who raced the whole season and constantly delivered big point scoring results.
In the ASCC Endurance Cup we entered into the GT category and finished 6th in class, a real strong commitment by Bonefiend138, isyoube, ACG NO MERCY, CarbonfiberYeti and XPR ChicaiN.
In the ASCC Sprint after lots of inter-team battles the results stand as: ACG NO MERCY 5th in GT, XPR ChicaiN 11th, Bonefiend138 14th, isyoube 27th
And finally a series that really let us showcase all our drivers ability and ability to work in a team, the team overall finished 17th this being due to to many of the team being unavailable for the last races of the season. However strong showings at the first races.
The 6 Hours of Silverstone saw the team prepare its self in just under 4 days, originally planned to go in as 2 GT teams, speedfreak106, ForlornBear2717 and isyoube went into LMP, qualifying for A lobby, (which would happen at all TEC races entered) finishing 14th out of 28 just under 20 miles off the leaders.
The GT team finished 8th in class just 17 miles off the leader.
By Spa the LMP team had developed further and this showed in the results the team the team finished 7th in class and had reduced the gap to 15 miles to first place. The GT team finished 13th in class after visiting the pits a few to many times.
The Le Mans 24H race set the team with the challenge of finding more drivers and the challenge of having people available around the clock. In the week leading up to the race we announced Formula E champion and AOR F1 champion ESR Leigh would join the LMP squad. KlossN and nSmokes420 joined the team to fill in for the middle of the race. The GT team finished 15th in class with 2 no shows and a disconnect. The LMP team preformed well 14th in class with only a few miles separating them to 10th.
The 4th and 5th races at Nurburgring and Catalunya were not contested by the LMP team, however the GT cars competed and went strong at round 4, but sadly did little milage at the last race.
Next season we hope to retain our excellent selection of drivers and hope to bring in some fresh new faces to TORA, swell as some well known ones. Thanks for the support we have received. Big news coming for us in 2018, so watch out.
Also a big congratulations from all the team to our TEC driver BAM Leigh on getting through to the official F1 eSports Semi Finals in London.
