I don't run assists. I'm not a good tuner but I shouldnt be as far off as I am right now.

I too am struggling at Sebring. Which makes me thankful for the drop round rule.

Im pretty happy with my fastest lap times but im wildly inconsistent by 2 seconds. Kinda getting frustrated try figure out why. Its more than a driving issue.

Same here. There's a lot of places to lose time on this track, its the reason I both love and hate sebring. It's pretty flat so there's a smaller margin of error in the corners.
I believe we will see lap times between the front of the pack and the rear close up a bit on some of the other tracks on schedule.

Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
Lobby split would probably be like... 11s to mid 13s for room 1 at Sebring, if prior seasons are anything to go by.
I would hope that people aren't discouraged from racing because of laptimes you've seen in this thread. Remember- You've got drivers that compete in the ForzaRC posting times, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, 5 seconds off of the people that live in UFOs is not really 5 seconds off. From my experience, with the amount of entries these thursday series get, especially in the beginning, chances are you will be put in a lobby where there will be some guys you can compete with.

Lime Rock is gonna be nuts. 55.2 so far for me, and i see nothing but low 55s and 55 flats posted here.

Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
A couple of the grippier cars can do 53s on Lime Rock, but the average car will probably be in low 54s.

Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
My car is very much speed-oriented, so i expect to struggle around lime rock. A GT500 doesn't take corners well unless there's a crowd on the track lol

Take a look at that link. That's from the last time American Iron went to Sebring, back on FM6 with the PI lower than it is now. You can see the qualifying times have quite the range. No matter what you're pace, you're bound to be battling with someone, especially with reverse grids.

Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
My choice in car is purely out of love as it has no chance to win it is the first series at Tora a caddy has been allowed. .. so I'm going to bring the pain... two seconds off pace.... I have overcome worse... AIX !!! \m/ CADDY IS COMING \m/

If you make top lobby. Otherwise you're going to race in a lobby FULL of people the same speed as you are and have some of the best racing you could ever find anywhere.

Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
As always, the racing is going here is going to be super close no matter where you get put. You'll also probably get way faster in the races too because you'll be looking at other driving styles with other cars and people around and getting faster in the sections you're slower in by copying them or just pushing harder.
Re: American Iron 2018 Lap Times
Mid-17s, hopefully closer to low 17s by thursday.
