Welcome to round five of TORA TCF TASCAR Season 7, the Florida Gazebo 200 from Daytona International Speedway! Please note, this is our unofficial throwback race, so running older NASCAR-style liveries is encouraged but not mandatory. Please make sure you read this entire post as there are a number of rule refreshers below.

Please note: for this race, ALL competitors MUST run the Stock tune provided on the JGROVES1996 sharefront. This is to prevent a game glitch. Also remember that we will be using a 10% power handicap for this race, as it always the case with Daytona races.

The race will take place on Saturday, April 14th at 9PM UK / 4PM Eastern. (Please can a US racer confirm that the clocks aren't changing again! Haha!) Qualifying will be a 10-minute session. Once the time expires, drivers will be able to complete their current lap before coming to a stop at turn one.

The race will comprise of 80 laps, plus an additional formation lap to get us set for the rolling start. Rolling start will still be row-by-row. If you see a jump starter, let us know and ideally record it.

Pace speed will be 60 mph. Cautions may be called due to incidents involving two or more cars. Please remember to lift and NOT brake when a caution comes out so that you don't get run over by the cars behind you. Remember, also, that the pits will be closed when a caution comes out and that there will be a designated lap under caution that drivers wishing to pit may do so, but only once the lobby host has declared the pits open.

Finally, after lobby b needed a Green-White-Checkered finish last time out, here's a clarification on those rules. A GWC will be used when there is a caution so late in the race that there aren't enough laps to conduct the restart. If the leader has started the last lap, there will be no more cautions and therefore no GWC.

In the event of a GWC being needed, his will mean that the drivers will finish the remaining laps in the race and then the host will set up a three lap lobby; one warm-up lap, two racing laps. If another caution comes out, repeat the process. There will only be three attempts at a GWC. If a caution comes out again on the third attempt, the race will end under caution.

Correct, 4 PM US Eastern Daylight Time, which is GMT-4.

The UK is using British Summer Time, which is GMT+1.

Doing the math, this makes it such that New York City is 5 hours behind London.

I can't remember if we ran the 10% power handicap in the first event. It fells like that is better for passing and drafting from experience.
