I think to be in the top lobby you'll need at least a 1:28.5xx

If I clean up for a whole lap, that is just about where I would be
However, Garmac0r is in the UK, and there's just one lobby on that side.
Re: Vintage Iron Lap Time Thread
The times are a little closer at Atlanta just because there isn't quite as many places to lose time. Not getting the line right in T3 can drop you a half second if you aren't careful... Same with T7, and T10A and B. All about momentum!

I've been running mid 1:29s and each lap I manage to screw up a turn somewhere. Lol

You'd be amazed what one lap w/o wheelspin would do for your lap time. I've had a couple, but those laps got flagged with a /!\ somewhere along the way, either T3 or 10a/10b.
Re: Vintage Iron Lap Time Thread
Yep, 3 and 10a/10b get me quite a bit. Lol

Barely cracking into the 1:19.9s. Need more forward and lateral bite.

This is one of those rare weeks where adding rear aero and wider tires vs power pays dividends.
Not sure what you can do differently on the GSX but at a bare minimum you should have 265 fronts if not 275. Also can stiffen the rear ARB and add a bit of rear bump and rear rebound to try to liven the car up - Can also use positive rear toe but often times the toe adjustment is a quick fix for something that should be resolved in the suspension/shocks first.

^ This was the one track on the schedule that the Buick wasn't very good at in preseason testing. Gonna try my Bugatti build and hope that helps.
It's like whatever had been making me a bit quicker stopped working during the Daytona Classic 24H

If I had time I'd put a tune up for you to try but I'll be on GT Sport tonight and tomorrow is race day so there's that haha.

Re: Vintage Iron Lap Time Thread
I had a dirty 1:18.99999999999999. Lol. I'm still making adjustments so can carry more speed through some of those sweepers. Right now the car just pushes through them if I drive it too hard. I'm pretty sure I just need to do like Diablo said and turn up the down force. I'll be on testing all night till I get it figured out.

Alright, so I had a few minutes to run the car. Definitely needed some tweaks from what I had, and even with wide tires it loves to step out, so be careful!
I've shared the tune is well in case anyone wants to run it! That car will do a 1:16.xxx, you just have to be patient with it, and a little lucky through the chicanes.

Re: Vintage Iron Lap Time Thread
I managed a 1:18.6xx and if I push it any harder, it becomes very unhappy. I think the build I have is garbage. Starting to think a big block ford with a supercharger was a bad idea. lol

In my Mach 1, I have the 6.2 V8 swap, no turbo or SC. Otherwise the car is heavy and the weight balance too far forward... so understeer on entry and oversteer on exit. I imagine that's what you're seeing now lol.

Re: Vintage Iron Lap Time Thread
Thats exactly what's going on. Lol. I'll have a couple hours before tonight's race, so I'm going to make some adjustments when I get off work.
