British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
All discussion about the upcoming season here
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I am really hyped for this year series. Is there any time soon that the builds will be released so we can all start getting ready?
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Nice to see the carlist being revealed.
But 2 questions: why is there no dropped round for the teams championship?
And why is the round at Spa the same day of the Total 24 Hours of Spa. That doesn't seem handy.

1: There is never a drop round for the teams championship, it encourages attendance to win.
2: We always try and aim to avoid things like these but with everything that happens IRL and on TORA we can't always avoid an overlap like this unfortunately.
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Super excited for the British GT esports, its our second year and Macleod Racing Team have partnered up with the real world RAM Racing Team to run two teams of two in the Mercedes along with our Mclaren team, Bentley team in GT 3 and a venture into the GT4 class with our AMG team.
We've got a couple of guests sitting with us welcome DOR Stug77, DOR VooDoo and Mr Driv3 can't wait to get everyone out on track 😉

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
How exactly do you apply for a driver race number. Or do you just select a number per series based on the already registered driver numbers? Thanks for the help guys.

based on whatever numbers are already taken you'll have to find a Number in the registration that is not taken yet

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
So whats the rules with teams entering their drivers as privateers? I believe that kind of defeats the purpose of a privateer? Kills the spirit of being a privateer really.
"To be eligible in the privateers/Independents championship, drivers should only compete for themselves and not be part of a team."

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think your confusing a Forza team (for example: AMS, SFM, MRT, SVR, etc.) with a team entered in this series. With the quoted sentence we mean the latter. Privateer entries should remain privateer for the independents championship, meaning no other driver entry is allowed to have the same 'team' name. However, what is allowed is, for example: German Racing Team 1, German Racing Team 2, German Racing Team 3. All 'team' names are technically different from each other.SubaruWRX522 wrote:So whats the rules with teams entering their drivers as privateers? Thus, a Forza team can enter as many privateers as they want. As long as their entries have different 'team' names.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Honestly that kind of defeats the purpose of a privateer cup. What if I come along and register a team of 5 drivers... but I also want a privateer cup win so I enter 5 drivers under JK Motorsport A through E.... we all know they are working together despite having slightly different team names. Its not really fair, you know? Ruins the spirit of the series.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I'm a newbie so ive got a few questions...
1: Can i have a seperate tune for qualifying and for the race ie: less aero for the qualifiying or do i have to use the ssame tune i qualified in
2: is it 7:00PM start GMT?
3: will i recieve an invite from the race moderator or do i need to add him and join him
4: can i pit any time after the first lap, could the cars run the entire race with out too much tire damage or is it better to pit when the tires are worn

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I can answer 1, 3, and 4
(1) you can change tune as there is no "parc ferme" rule (as long as it follows the build specified for the car.
(3) Host will generally invite you (or sometimes someone in the same lobby) , you can join them to make their job easier too. (Keep an eye out on Live timing post)
(4) it's a better idea to pit mid-race, i don't think any of the cars can no stop an entire race(you can pit first few laps but you may need to pit again due to tires and fuel)
(2)?
If you have a clock app then you can use that to compare your time zone to UK however i can't say for sure when it is for GMT
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html this website can help too

Boys! More GT4s in lobby please. 5 cars is not fun enough comparing to 12 GT3s. Give us maybe 7?

You were meant to have 7. Some people didn't show up.

Did not notice we missed them. What a shame. I would vote for more GT4s in lobby anyway if we surpass 16 drivers. In lobby 8 GT3 drivers had same thoughts as traffic made race way more interesting for them.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
7 GT4's in a lobby at most is still not enough IMO, personally think there needs to be 8/9/10 then the bottom couple of GT3 splits have no GT4 cars, personally and speaking to quite a few others having 6 in a lobby is quickly going to become less as none of us fancy doing a hotlap session as we have so few people to race, its surely gotta go up or its going to go down very quickly

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Hey guys, trying to find the line that say if back out you lose all race points to bottom of class not bottom of lobby.
Crashed lap 4 of Race 2, was almost 10:30pm a whole 2 1/2 hours after qualy starting - 6 cars in class not going to just race round on my own... now to be found out I lose all points. Obviously I was going to finish last in Race 2 don't see where it says go to bottom of class...bit harsh

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
TORA's had that style of points as other Forza leagues have before it.
A DNF places you behind all finishers in class, so that'd be behind last in the lowest lobby, wherever that may be.

Official rules says 9/10 cars per class per lobby. Fingers crossed for Catalunya grid.
