Yeah. We can do that, when they're using a working VoIP system, which Parties are not.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Well, pointless or not, there's no special rule for an all GT3 or GT4 lobby. I find rolling starts pointless, but that doesn't change anything, does it?SubaruWRX522 wrote:LSEM Crimson wrote:xMartijn2702 wrote:I have an idea how to solve this. Please take 5 minutes any day of the week before the series starts to read all the threads with rules and info. So you know what to do in case a party fails. Imo it's every driver his own responsibility to know the rules of the series. It's no rocket science. There are only a few important rules which are all very easy to remember.
This is irrelevant when lobby hosts are making alterations, like in Pigeon's lobby. When the admin are doing this, it renders all "Just read the rules" posts pretty pointless.
Stopping at the end of an all GT3 lobby is pointless, which is why Matt told us to just continue to the end of the race. The only reason we usually stop is to allow the GT4 cars to finish their race without AI getting in their way. If the lobby host instructs you to do something, you follow the instructions, plain and simple.
I've also tried to find the rule which states that you have to be in party chat for voice comms and as far as I'm concerned, there's none. And there's also no rule which states that lobby hosts can overwrite rules. So following these points, Pigeon has done nothing wrong.
He was also the leader of the race. You have to be really blind not to notice the leader stopping.

Pigeon will be classified as winner of Lobby 5. Theres no arguing in that.
Heck even if he can supply a clip of him crossing the finish line in 1st at the start of lap 32 that should be more than enough evidence.

I'm not against letting him have first but I don't understand why I'm 6th as of right now. I had been in 5th with APEX Fuego chasing me down for the past 10 laps or so.

You're listed 6th because we want to update it once instead of doing it multiple times. Patience.

Thank you for being the only one to actually mention those are not final results... up until now I figured thats what the results would be. Usually when things like this happen, they are swept under the rug and forgotten about.SFM Darkzer wrote:SubaruWRX522 wrote:I'm not against letting him have first but I don't understand why I'm 6th as of right now. No it is subject to change.
Also to those who care here are the Sporting Regulations you've all accepted once you registered.
Section 6 is an interesting one.

"6.2 Drivers must be able to communicate back to race control and lobby hosts. Failure to comply will result in possible exclusion from the race meeting / event." Sounds like Pigeon is out then? He was supposed to be in Matts voice group but was unable to connect causing the trouble to start with.
Also I have a hard time following these regs when some of the staff don't follow them.

Well, then at the event of the party chat breaking, everyone should be disqualified...
Another reason to ditch the Xbox party chat system

I think Matts connection is the cause for the voice chat issues. Seems whenever I've been in his lobby voice chat disconnects a handful of people at a time, myself included. I've never had a voice party issue other than while in his lobby.

Just to echo what SubaruWRX has already said... we do actually really appreciate that you, Darkzer, have came forward and it is you doing your best and looking at rectifying this 5hit show of a mess, we also accept that you had no part in this yet you seemingly have been left to clean up the mess caused by others, noted they haven't said a word on here about their failings not even as much as an apology which probably would have been a great way to start. I also wish to state that I have no interest in where Pigeon came or whether he keeps his place or loses it, I mean that with the upmost respect by the way, I have no interest vested in where Pigeon finished or where he now ends up, I do however care for the fact that I would indeed like my placement rectified and that I won't settle for being cheated out of such due to one host telling another host one thing and then that host coming back and making his own rules up. We're always asked to obey and listen to hosts... how can anyone in this community possibly do that when the host, in some cases, not all, either don't understand or fully know the rules themselves and others simply don't properly or clearly communicate with each other and then do their own thing regardless. I don't know about you guys but from the folks I have heard from and spoken with since this shambles I can say that theres many a person losing all interest and the will to participate in TORA events for a multitude of reasons that have built up over a year or two and this disaster really seems to be the final straw that broke the camels back, as they say.
I hope that all of us in both lobbies involved get our actual positioning and correct points back and if that is something Darkzer is willing to do then I'm absolutely fine with holding off and being a little patient until then as long as it is indeed rectified and not left unadjusted.

You were 4th, Fuego was 5th and I was behind Fuego in 6th when we all stopped.
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Just to echo what Darkzer has said, we are going to be working on correcting the results of Lobby 5(E). Results will be reset to reflect the results as of the end of lap 31. We are currently working on the correct order at this point. If any of the Lobby E drivers have evidence of the finishing order at this point in the race, please share with myself, Darkzer, or DriftiNHero.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Unfortunately I cannot provide evidence because the xbox clip I took had not recorded properly (I dont record for performance reasons). If no evidence can be found to prove I was leading for most of the race upto the end of lap 31 except for spoken word, then I accept that I'll lose my spot. Did anybody livestream the event?
On a related note, are these xbox party issues due to PC players of the game or do they affect everyone?

I wish that were the case. But it's far more frequent than that.
Shameful that the XB1 has been out for five years and they've never sorted out the broken since launch party chat. Not at all likely to happen either, as they're busy working on the next way of getting everyone to spend hundreds on a new console. Which makes it all the more shameful really.
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
With the greatest respect Mikey, none of this collateral mess had anything in relation to do with XBox's party chat, yes there was issues with certain people trying to join Matt's party but the race ending itself and all that followed had zero to do with party chat.
The cause of this mess was due to two hosts both giving alternative race ending instructions to each lobby, course not helped by one other person, who wasn't a host, also chirping and chiming in as per usual and also telling people what they should and shouldn't do, even though that very information he was also giving was again extremely incorrect and he should've remained quiet and let the hosts deal with the issue.

Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Here's what we've been able to determine thus far for BGT Silverstone Lobby 5:
1. LSEM Pigeon ^A
2. MEX Platinum
3. WRT FAATdamon
4. VSR Zarathos
5. SubaruWRX522 ^C
6. APEX FUEGO ^C
7. VPR AnonCaliga ^C
8. SVR Vantage ^C
9. nivracer ^C
10. Morne in Glory ^C
11. TUS KAMIKAZE ^C
12. jenson09 ^C
13. SFM Cowmaster ^C
14. Freheliaz ^C
15. AMR Aqua ^C
16. DOR Keithn222 ^C
DNF. yankeesfanfp1 ^B
DNF. ITI Aric ^B
DNF. demonsavior510 ^B
DNF. MNR Fortune ^B
DNF. GGRboy14 ^B
DNS. MBG The mad bul ^B
^A LSEM Pigeon was the first driver to complete lobby lap 31, this is undisputed. He is the race winner for lobby 5.
^B The DNF & DNS listings are correct, this was confirmed by both jenson09 & SFM Cowmaster, who were each responsible for half the lobby.
^C https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/sfm-cowmaster/video/74579382 We can see positions 5-16 on lap 32 or less, indicating they stopped at the end of 31. So the order of those drivers is known, assuming MEX Platinum, WRT FAATdamon, and VSR Zarathos did not improve positions by not stopping.
I checked all drivers present for game clips on gamerdvr.com and twitch.tv, the only relevant clips were from SFM Cowmaster and Freheliaz, both of which show the same information.
So at this time, I think the above order can be reasonably presumed accurate unless anyone has evidence of MEX Platinum, WRT FAATdamon, or VSR Zarathos passing anyone from SubarauWRX522 on down after lap 31 concluded.

I can confrim that VSR Zarathos was indeed in front of me and APEX Fuego was behind. I had been chasing Zarathos for several laps and Fuego was on my tail with VPR AnonCaliga hot on his heels. That seems like correct order.

OK cool! So really it just comes down to Platinum and FAATdemon, but I don't think they changed hands either based on Frez' clips.
So I think we're all set then! I'll leave it unchanged a bit longer in case anyone else has a clip, if there's nothing posted before today ends I'll get that updated for you guys.
Thanks for your continued patience!

I was responding to Subaru's post about party chat in general, and was well aware that wasn't the root of this situation. However, I was not aware that there was someone else besides the host giving misinformation.

Can we expect any rule changes regarding situations like these - all GT3 or GT4 lobbies, etc.?

All lobbies will run to the scheduled distance.
Re: British GT eSports Championship 2019 - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I did not make any alterations to Cowmaster his decisions. Nor did I disagree with his. I only gave my vision on what would be wise to do. But I clearly stated that it's up to Cowmaster to decide and tell us what we are going to do.VPR AnonCaliga wrote:With the greatest respect Mikey, none of this collateral mess had anything in relation to do with XBox's party chat, yes there was issues with certain people trying to join Matt's party but the race ending itself and all that followed had zero to do with party chat.

But since you have an issue listening to what is being said in a party I forgive you. Since after all you did not park up in turn 1 while you were told by the lobby host in your party. So I can understand that it is difficult for you to understand what other people are saying in a party. Thus you decide to bend the story that was said and make up your own reality.

He didnt stop in T1 because literally every car in front of him continued. Once he saw us stop he stopped too. Let the lobby hosts host... if you aren't a lobby host you need not apply what you think people should do.
