TORA WGT - Rules and Regulations
Welcome to TORA World GT! This championship will be hosted on Assetto Corsa Competizione and consist of 5 rounds.
By registering for the series, you agree to the rules and regulations written in this thread and the TORA Driver’s Handbook. Please take time to carefully review the following regulations carefully before entry. TORA reserves the right to alter this rules package as needed for the purpose of fairness and clarity in competition.
This rules package is not fully inclusive. Please refer to the TORA Driver’s Handbook for full definitions of terms relating to basic regulation in TORA competition. Note that specific rules for this series will take precedence over rules outlined in the Driver’s Handbook:

1. Championships
1.1 Driver’s Championship
This will be a competition in each class, GT3 and GT4 and all rounds will count. If 2 drivers are sharing the car both must complete a minimum of 30 minutes to be eligible for points
You may compete solo or in pairs in the same car
1.2 Manufacturers Championship
This will be for the highest placed 2 cars of each manufacturer
2. Livery Rules
2.1 It will be strongly encouraged that competitors use the in game IGTC liveries that correspond with the various rounds.
2.2 If a competitor wishes to use their own they may with some stipulations.
You must create an in game "livery" that utilizes the primary colors of your full livery so other cars that do not have the file can still identify your car on track. You may not be all black as that is the default
You must follow all of TORA's rules and restrictions on sponsors
The game will provide all contingency sponsors but adding a TORA logo is requested if you choose to make your own
In game usermade liveries are also allowed
3. Cars
3.1 All GT3 and GT4 cars are eligible.
3.2 Car Choice will be locked in once you start your first race
4. Qualifying
4.1 There will be an open testing server for the week prior to the race, your fastest time in the server will be taken for your qualifying postion
4.2 If you are on the server and are testing race pace or generally not on a fast lap and a car approaches going faster you are obliged to move over for them
4.3 There is not a limit to the number of laps that can count towards your qualifying time
5. Race Starts
5.1 They are controlled by the game. Follow the instructions on screen. Penalties for noncompliance with start procedures by the game will not be removed by admins
6. ACC Specific Race rules
6.1 Blue flags are advisory only. The lapped car may not defend the position but is entitled to the racing line until the lapping car has overlap, at which point they are obliged to give way
6.2 If you are significantly faster while laps down you may unlap yourself but you need to be clear of blue flags with in a lap of the overtake
6.3 Local yellows are enforceable. You may not overtake and if you cause an incident while in a local yellow either by hitting another car or the vehicle that is stopped the penalties will be harsher than normal for an incident of the same nature
6.4 If you are passed under local yellow, you may report it and we will look at it as it is possible to tell what the flag condition was in the replay (Hint: Press M to save the replay mid race)
6.5 This includes GT3 and GT4, GT3 cars may not overtake GT4 cars under yellow unless they are severely off pace
6.6 Stint lengths will be capped at all listed rounds to 65 minutes. This will be monitored in game and there is a clock showing you where you stand. Penalties will not be removed for these incidents
6.7 Bathurst will have open strategy like the real race
6.8 Headlight flashing will be restricted to one sequence per straight on lapped cars.
7. Race Format
7.1 10 minutes before the session start there will be a mandatory drivers briefing on discord.
7.2 The server will start a practice server at the beginning time of the event with a 20 minute practice to allow everyone to get in. There will be a 5 minute timer before the start of the full formation lap
7.3 Kyalami, Spa-Francochamps, Suzuka, and The US round will all have a maximum driver stint of 65 minutes. This means that 65 minutes is the max you can drive between entering the pits.
7.4 Bathurst will be open strategy.
7.5 There is no requirement for the pitstops in terms of how much fuel you need to take or if you take tires.
