Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000

The Aussie V8 Supercar Championship Series circus finds itself in the Enduro part of the year, starting with the L&H 500 at Phillip Island, followed by the mother of all 1000km races, the Supercheap Auto 1000 at Mount Panorama. As far as driver line ups go, its looking great. The #2 HRT Commodore with Tander and Davidson will be eager to get past the #888 Vodafone car of Whincup and Lowndes, who have dominated at the Mountain since 2006. In the sister car, we once again see our annual doseage of a BTCC driver in strage territory, James Thompson partners Allan Simonsen in the #88 car. A car to look out for, and one that I will be supporting, is the #51, with two V8 supercar legends onboard, Greg Murphy, who took 6 seconds out of the #888 car in the closing 10 laps of last years Great Race. Partnering him his Mark Skaife, one of the most instantly recognisable names in V8 Supercars. More cars to look out for: The FPR car with Winterbottom and Steve Richards, FPR have been in the shadow of Vodaphone for years now, and they have just the drivers to creep out from the shaddow. Andy Priaulx parters David Reynolds in the Bundaberg car, but i would not expect much from them. Johnson/Courtney in the Jim Beam car is worth a shout out, and ofcourse look out for the Enforcer! in the #39 Supercheap Auto Racing car.

I'm a Lowndes fan, ever since Marcos left for bloody NASCRAP.
Will be interesting to see how Troy does in his first V8 outing. Wishing him luck. He can only do better than Aaron Slight did in the BTCC!!

I wouldn't mind seeing Marcos do a one off in one of the SBR cars.
