HOW BLOODY HARD IS IT TO FIND A NEW CAR!?!?!?

I tried a Subaru Impreza the other day, but the clutch was worn and there was no service history on it - I don't want to take the risk of the timing belt being duff. Great car, but sadly mistreated.

I cannot find ANYTHING I want.

Although I have just found an import Evo II with an Evo III engine... hmmm...

Imagine the cost will be astronomical for insurance though!

I have a really long list of cars to own... but fortunately (hopefully) a few years left yet to cross them all off. Gave myself a late start though, having only got my licence this year.

Car #1: Alfa Romeo 147.

what motor is in that in the RSX/Integra, Is it the A2 or A3? My friend has one with an A2 that makes closed to 300whp with just basic I.H.E. It's a shame you never got to finish it, it would have been a hell of a sleeper.

Well i cant drive yet bt i own a 1.25 fiesta zetec on an x plate. Its pretty neat, black but deperately needs some alloys!

yeah, i was gonna buy a bunch of JDM ITR stuff...the wing, the brembos (which would have made me get all new wheels because the braked push the track width of the car way out) the JDM recaros...and then i was gonna do some work on the motor...but then i was like ...hey, this is alot of money, i should just get this stupid car paid off and go buy an evo.

there is a couple different K series motors for the different trim levels.
The Base RSX and the EP3 SI get the A3 which had a 160 HP
The Type S had the A2 which was making 200hp and had the 6 speed, which is what i had.
They also made the ITR motor (which never made it to the states) which with some higher compression and different tuning had 225 hp

with I/H/E/C/K-pro/Tune and some other misc mods, you could see a type S making 250-260 to the wheels...300 sounds like a bit much for just I/H/E...the guys on clubrsx.com are making 300 to the wheels with some serious motor work...ITB's and crazy cams...

the other awesome part is that you can put that motor is virtually anything, i've seen supercharged K20's in old mini coopers, civic hatches, civic sedans, CRX's...hell one shop over here has a drag racing K20 honda insight...it's pretty ridiculous...

it's a good car...i've had it for 4 years now, just time to move on to something else...

I am soooo depressed.

There's just nothing I want in the range I want for the money I have to spend. At least not in the local area.

Mileage is a bit high for my liking, but I dunno, if it's been looked after and all...

I remember reading on kseries about a guy who built a really nice eg hatch with the A2 motor. He may have even turbo'ed it. It looked like a beast.
So what are you going to move on to now that you have decided to do so?

evo or m3 if i can swing it coming out of school.

over he summer im going to save up for a new car and try to get an evo or wrx that i can mod into a touring car that i can run at virginia intl' race way, and rally as well. rally america always races around me, so i was thinking of doing that and getting my friend co-drive. kinda lofty though on the ralling bit

Coz I got sick of car sharing with my finace I just bought myself my first motor and thought I'd resurrect this thread.

I got myself one of these:







Although mine is black and has some five spoke alloys on it not those chavvy bling ones. And mine doesn't have an Opel badge on it, it has the Irmscher badge instead so it looks like a Vauxhall but it's got an Irmscher badge instead. I love this car.

I used to have a five door hatch Astra, and it was a very good car. Always
fancied an Astra Coupe, but never got round to it.

At the moment, I kinda have three cars.

My girlfriend owns but I drive a black SEAT Leon mk1, similar to this but with different alloys.



I own but my girlfriend drives a Suzuki Liana, like this one, only dark red.



And since my grandfather broke his hip last year, he hasn't been using his car, which is a Rover 75.



I've been using it while my Leon is off the road for repairs, and although it is a Rover, it has a 2.5 V6 in it, which makes it fun when boy racers try to race you on the bypass only to get completely smoked.

This is my Skoda Felicia "Turbo" its powered by a 1.3 N/A 4pot engine pushing out about 68BHP.



As a 19 year old guy i have of course modified it a bit but nothing too major. Theres a Custom built Induction kit (i have no idea if it makes it faster but it sounds better so its more fun to drive, which is what its all about really!)



There is also a Stealth Shelf in the rear which houses Two Kenwood 6x9's (The standard Skoda has nowhere to put rear speakers at all)



And im currently working on the new Door builds for the new Kenwood front speakers (160mm) but these still need a little tidying up. The speakers are then powered by a Kenwood CD Head unit.



Its a great little car! The interior is clean and solidly built with surpprisingly supportive seats for a non-sports biased car.



I love this car so much! It is my first car so i will always love it, but its the most fun car ive ever driven with good body control, neutral handeling with a hint of understeer for safety and great steering feel due to the non-power assisted steering.



A Rear Strut brace is currently also in the works to liven up the looks of the rear end and impove the rear end (ive driven annother car before and after a rear brace was fitted and the difference was surpprising!)

My pride and joy is a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport with the 4.0 V6. Only mods are brand new knobby off-road-esque tires and a cool Ford steering wheel cover

This pic displays how i repainted the front grille. used Krylon's 'Fusion' for plastics (in Satin Black)

Bought and installed that Magnaflow CBE back in December '09 (bought it used, but at half price over a new one, couldnt go wrong)

And the pic i showed in the 'I Saw...' thread of my attacking the CBE-tips with some #0000 grade steel wool

...it needs to be attacked again. carbon build-ups and all

Well as a couple of people here know mine is currently a clapped out black escort which was bought with a mega dent in the front wing!
Only £300 though so a bargain for the trips it's done.
52 plate 3 series Beemer on the horizon though

another Fiat Cinqucento on the cards here... but a 1.1 this time..... or a Ford Focus
