2010 ADAC 24hr Rennen @ Nurburgring - May 13-16

The first of the major european 24 hour races is coming very soon, and this year there should be an epic battle around the infamous Green Hell between Audi, Porsche and BMW with the big manufacturers bringing out the big guns to take the fight to Manthey, who have dominated the top SP classes in the past decade.

We go into the 24 Hours with a very tragic and brutal reminder that racing around the Nurburbring's infamous north loop still carries its risk. 43 year old Leo Lowenstien tragically lost his life in the 3rd round of the VLN when he lost control of his Aston Martin Vantage SP10 class car at Bergwerk and was not able to escape from his car. This is a very sad loss, but all of the drivers accept this risk simply to race around the worlds greatest motor racing circuit.

Our thoughts, aswell as all of the specators and competitors will be focused on his family, friends, and the marshals who worked hard to try and save him.
