Wonderful way to improve on the previous game's Hawaii by adding more crap that isnt actually there, like a Faux-Indy-GP, a Faux-Spa, Faux-Suzuka.... yes thats EXACTLY what this game was missing........................................

Yeah I get the idea...you don't like TDU2. Did you even like the first one?
I actually love the idea of all these tracks, They are smooth and what other game can you leave your garage and drive to a track of your choice.
It's not like they took out real roads to add them in, these tracks have just been added to what would be a big open space of crap.

Re: TDU2
At least 3 of my "Rally Ibiza" stages are up in the community challenge building.
(I'm sure i was able to upload six but somehow only 3 have appeared on the list)
Inexpensive and not really rewarding (much like the game), I'm not sure if the money you end up winning is coming out of MY game money.
If it isnt then i'll up the ante sooner or later.

Re: TDU2
lol, i flew to Oahu friday night, and spent all of yesterday just trying to unlock roads. (for 2 reasons: find the 'wreckages', and easier to jump to challanges) friday night, my Subie had 790 miles on the odometer, and last night when i signed off....
1610 miles. and im far from finished. still have to find 1 more wreckage in Area 2 to get me a free Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Re: TDU2
Patch coming, and first DLC will now be FREE by way of an apology:
(from RockPaperShotgun.com)
"You may remember that Test Drive Unlimited 2 did not have a great Valentine’s Day. Launched to cries of, “Er, could you finish it now please?”, its buggy state did not win favour. Eden Games and Atari are attempting a big old “sorry” by offering not only a patch that addresses a lot of issues, but also the first globule of DLC for utterly free. More info lies beneath.
Frankly everyone should know that the idea of spending V Day in Ibiza is obviously a bad one. But now the night of enforced romance is over, is it worth booking flights and hiring a car? Atari list the fixes as follows:
*Logging into the game has been improved
*Once into the game the online network experience is now much more stable in all areas
*Save games no longer corrupt
*Existing corrupted save games will be repaired in many cases
*Friends lists are now populated
*Invites now work correctly
*Clubs have been brought back online
*Exploits to gain money have been fixed
*Casino access has been improved
*Players will no longer lose money because of the Casino bug
It is one of those lists that makes you ask, “Did you not think those things might have been important before release?” But they’re addressed now, which certainly makes the game more approachable.
To apologise, in the stead of flowers or chocolates, come wrecked cars. I love gaming. That’s the first DLC, presumably previously to have been charged for, now free to you. The Exploration Pack includes a bunch of new wrecks to discover, which will unlock you the “Lancia Stratos version Rallye” (is that right?) and the 1969 Dodge Charger.
They say to keep reporting remaining issues, which will be addressed in time."

Awesome! More wreckages to find, and easier casino usage! When is the patch & DLC due out? Haven't had a chance to turn on my box since Sunday.

Adx, when the patch is released, the club mode will be brought back online.
Perhaps one of us should create a TORA club on tdu2?

Re: TDU2
The patch will still have to pass through MS, which can take upto 2 weeks. I would expect the patch to be up by Monday. (Can't think when they sent it to MS)

Re: TDU2
of what i can remember in the brief time i tried to create a club, you can only start off with 8 members, and you'll have to pay 8 million fauxlars to expand the club to 16, was not able to see how much it would cost to go to 32, I'm assuming its even worse.
When (touch wood) it all works (no not that kind of wood), we would have to create seperate TORA based clubs.

Re: TDU2
How many guys here play TDU2 though?
If think most guys in a team would create their own, I know HB will be getting VVV up so we can all start hitting TDU.

Maybe we should organise that ahead of the patching.
Will start a "TDU Club" thread.

I've bought this today and I'm already having an issue. How long does the game take to load from the start screen? Mine is refusing to load after the start screen.

Re: TDU2
I had a problem like that once. It hung there after pressing start for over a minute. I had to restart the game a couple times to get to my last save point. The supposed patch that should be out soon should fix that I believe

I've only played this for a couple of hours and I'm already loving it!
One big noticeable improvement over the old game is that the handling is much better. The cars don't understeer terribly anymore.
Think I'm gonna play this all weekend. I'm loving it too much to jump back onto forza. Well, not just yet anyway. lol

Bit of advice: DO NOT BUY THE GOLF!
Just get a Mito or Brera.

I was thinking of getting a car for the A7 championship. I was going to get an Alfa Brera anyway so many thanks for the advice. By the way, why shouldn't I buy the Golf? Is it rubbish?

Adrian, we know how much you hate it! lol
I think TDU has always been a love or hate game. I loved the old TDU but this new one is even better. To me, the game is total escapism from the real world.

Re: TDU2
The Golf is the worst handling car in the game, handles nothing like a fwd car. It's hard enough keeping it on the road, you get no feel what so ever. The grip just suddenly goes away when ever it feels like and it's so slow compared to the Brera.

Re: TDU2
I felt the same way with the R8. A couple of the singleplayer challenges to drive it to its destination were harder than the payout rewarded you for. IMO, the R8 and the Veyron's handling physics were swapped.
..my 'Primer Black' Subie in tdu2 has racked up over 2,000 miles already. (if I can recall, I think its more towards 2400 miles now. Haven't played since last Sunday)
