Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
I don't know about y'all but every time simon signs on I think of this songs chorus. General may be the only one that gets it or remembers this old classic. Go to 2:30 for the chorus.

OOOOOOOO Rusty Cage....thanks general!
I counter your grunge with even more grunge and Cornell's awesome voice....(my favorite two songs from the era)
Temple of the Dog anyone??

Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
Well I figured that thing didn't get too far out of America or the south and most of our TORA buds are European. I have tons of friends that love hip-hop and have never heard that album. One of my favorites
Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
lol what?
Sounds like me up late at night messing around with all the cool things my computer can do.
Glad you guys aren't arguing with me, I came across as kind of a dick but it's all to be humorous. My friends and I sit around and lol at the [Censored] we listen to because there is always fun to be made in every single aspect of life. I just love music so much nothing really bothers me when it comes to arguing about it on the forums, I'm just dicking around and stirring things up.
We can all agree that metal is not the same metal it used to be, just like hip hop, vintage cars, mountain dew, and women who know their place. Things are just different now.

Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
Do you guys like any sort of black metal? That's what I've been listening to most lately.
Vastness and Sorrow by Wolves in the Throne Room is in my opinion one of the greatest pieces of music ever, no joke. Normally I wouldn't place any metal song at that status but this song is perfection. Coming from a person who hates the over usage of the word epic, this song is the epitome of EPIC.
They basically sound like the old black metal band Darkthrone if anybody is familiar with them, but Wolves have a much more refined and precise style. Darkthrone has more of a drone to it with less structure to the songs and much more repetition. Transylvanian Hunger by Darkthrone is a personal favorite, any song on that album really, they will all sound the same if you don't normally listen to that type of [Censored].

Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
Does anybody here like Amon Amarth? Just got my car re-registered today and forgot I had one of their CD's in it so I drove around today and listened to the whole thing full blast. Very good music for driving around headbanging.

Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
from the new album. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!
Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
In Flames used to remind me of Black Dahlia Murder somewhat, do you like them?
In a completely unrelated matter, does anybody like the doom subgenre, either the depressing kind or the stoner kind?
Here is what I mean in two examples, the first of which is one of my all time favorites. Listen to that [Censored] GROWL, and the guitars keep you depressed the whole time.
This next one is really all about the groove and not depressing but this type of stuff is still labeled as doom just on the fact that it's slow and low.
I basically worship Electric Wizard, and many bands like them such as Sleep, Om, or Black Sabbath.

Re: "Mr Biggs's Musical Thread" (Rock and Metal)
If you like metal covers of video game songs check out two bands who do exclusively that. The Advantage do Nintendo songs. And Megadriver do Sega ones. Brilliant.

Powerglove is a really good one too, they kind of make up original songs though with video game themes but it's very lol and they put on an amazing show.

I'm really torn on this track. Parts of it sound really generic and [Censored], but some parts sound awesome!
