Re: Forza Horizon - General Discussion
Well there was a lot of talk about 'Forza World' so maybe this is it. Although, that is a lot of Porsches
Re: Forza Horizon - General Discussion
It looks like some sort of TDU-esque Forza..
Perhaps Turn 10 are separating the Forza franchise into two with alternate year releases? Forza Motorsport to concentrate on Motorsport, and Forza Horizon to concentrate on car culture?
This might help eliminate all the pointless car porn from future Forza Motorsport releases. And I welcome it!
Plus, I loved TDU, so I'll love Forza Horizon if it does take on a TDU-esque form.

Re: Forza Horizon - General Discussion
Playground Games has been on a rather large recruitment drive which resulted in them being "filed" by Codemasters back in 2010. Codemasters assumed Playground Games were aiming there sites on them as they "Playground" were making a new racing game.
Codemasters had named a total of 15 former employees in its legal challenge against Playground games. This new game was offered to Microsoft and Sega some time ago.
Playground games have completed there recruitment drive so are now and have been operating with a full house for some time.
The trailer I think is incidental in knowing that Playground are making a racing game and have been for a good few years now.
All I can hope for is that it's actually a good racing game that works well, doesn't cost to much and isn't plague with problems :-)

Re: Forza Horizon - General Discussion
Wow...I wrote about this on the forum weeks ago and nobody noticed! Thanks to my games industry insider knowledge, had seen the developer hiring for it.

Re: Forza Horizon - General Discussion
It's a real project, these are the developers:
http://www.playground-games.com/index.php
They were hiring for car modellers, and physics programmers a while back.

For reference this is the post you put up on 10 Jan
Chris wrote:Yeh PGR5 and GRID 2 were in the "surprises for 2012" section of this week's mag. I'm pretty sure that the Guildford-based studio "Playground Games" are working on it (the stealth-mode project title I've heard is "Forza World"). Perhaps why New York and other street circuits were taken/kept out of FM4. (They're currently hiring for several positions relating to a "AAA title", including a Vehicle Livery Artist and a Car Handling Designer - http://www.playground-games.com/careers.php).
