Who owns Rfactor?

Anyone up for a game of this? Would like to try a TORA test session on it to see how viable it is as a basis for a series.

Yup I would be. Lets make sure we've got the same mods running, and try a few things out. Highly recommend getting the Enduracers mod, and Team NLC's VLN 05 mod, but you also need GTR Evolution to play that.

You can get the Touring Car Legends mod from Rfactor Central, about a gig in size but VERY VERY worth it!

Ok Scot, I'll get the Legends mod and we can try get a game in.

TCL is one mod that looks amazing. If I had a PC capable of running it (and a wheel) I would have it!

Does the M$ wheel work with rFactor? I own that wheel, but I still use a controller for Forza because I'm faster with it.

Also, how does rFactor compare to Forza and GT5 in terms of playability/realism? Is it something that you can just pick up and play or is there a massive learning curve to it?

You can use the M$ wheel if you have a wireless adapter, but the force feedback does not work with it. I use a M$ controller with the wireless adapter.

It's much more "simmy" than Forza, and if you've got the patience you can go right down into the tuning side and it's pretty crazy. I'm no good at tuning anyway so I just run the stock setups most of the time and get by just fine. The graphics are obviously not as good, but it doesn't really matter if you're having a good race. The key thing really is the modding - there are so many tracks and cars available, and some of them are so professionally done.

I've got the wireless adapter too, I guess I will set my desktop up again when I get a chance and try rFactor out.

Forza = Console Semi-sim
rFactor = Sim

now that I have new laptop, I'm going to attempt to recover my ID to get the full package...
