Dirt 3

This video pretty much shows that you have to do quite a bit with the wheel to get the thing sideways.

Yeah but Nicky, I actually have the game and imo it feels too sticky compared to Dirt 2. Still really enjoying the game, but the Rally stages don't have that 'on egde' feel that I thought Dirt 2 had. I can't get the car to slide around hairpin even when using teh handbrake cause teh cars just slow down like they are on tarmac and don't lose grip. The gymkana mode is excellent, which leads me to believe that they developed the handling system for that game mode, then use the same physics in every mode.

I know you have the game I'm just adding my opinion from what i have seen.

I understand what you mean about it being sticky, from the dirts that I have played, there is a massive lack of front end slip on turn in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the game is bad, its just different from Dirt 2 which I really really enjoyed. In the brief time I had before my wheel fell to bits the driving felt solid, and that VVV video with the G25 looks good. Like I said maybe I'm just not feeling the game using the pad.

I went with the historic rally choice to begin my dirt 3 career. Brembo Fiat Abarth.

In the difficulty advanced still isn't all assists off, you need to go in and take off all assists for custom difficulty.

No replays!! iphone 4 and iMovie plus Vimeo to the rescue again!!

I'm enjoying it, but it's like playing a dumbed down version of Dirt 2 which was way more fun and way way more demanding. This is easy and just like driving on tarmac even when on snow!!!

Got the game in the post today, going to give it a good go tomorrow on my day off and see what all the fuss is about....after enjoying the extra DVD

Hahaha. I've looked for that avatar so many times since and never found it again. It was truly legendary.

2 world records down at Finland in Group B! Not sure how long they will stand especially when people start figuring out which trees they can cut between!!!

Making a vid using the in game video recording and uploading to YT, 30 secs at a time, then using the YT video editor to splice them together into the WR record run, takes ages!! Will post when done chaps.

Nice run, although thats a lot of time and effort for a small video. Really wish we could save them for later.
