This year, for Season 4, iRacing will be releasing it's "Driver Swaps" feature. They've been working on it for endurance races over the last 4 years and they think it's almost ready. Basically, you'll be able to register your team with the drivers you'll race with. You race, once you've completed your stint, you drive into the pits, hit escape and the next driver can hop in almost seamlessly. This will give iRacing's Official Series and Leagues a whole new dimension of racing to play with. Cannot wait for it.

Also, they've been working on the 2013 Holden Red Bull V8SC CotF and reworking the current Ford Falcon to new specs. A Corvette Daytona Prototype has been signed. Donington Park and Phoenix are to be released in Season 3 and they are working on Monza and Imola after that. You can read more about what's new for iRacing on Steve Myers below:

Finally got my B license. The GT3 series is awesome. Did 20 minutes of practice at brands hatch indy, then a race. That was one of the most fun races ive done until i took out the leader when i spun. But okayama was good to me in the race this morning. Its mind boggling seeing people running 2-3 seconds quicker when my best lap is on the absolute edge and still that far back Sad

Sunday (clash with ISCC/GP)
Monday (clash with Spec cup FM5)
Tuesday (clash with TCC)
Fridays (no clashes)

I'll be racing the IndyCar Series and the main races are on a Fridays so that's a bad time for me. I think Monday or Tuesday suit best for me.

just took part in the very last week 13th race at Laguna Seca which had Mazdas, legends, spec racer ford etc!

Had no testing apart from watching a Empty Box video so chose the spec racer as that's what he used.

Started 34th as I hadn't set a lap, was last after turn 1 as there was a crash it front of me, so slammed on the brakes to miss it!

Then set about learning the car, had LOADS of shakeness coming through the wheel at every turn, really off putting, much like wheel whobble I guess. Anyway I started picking off cars one by one.

Got up to 8th on about lap 9 then had a half spin avoiding a spinning legend, dropped to 10th, only to spin again 2 turns later at turn 1, down changed too quick and locked the rears, but stayed 10th.

Got pushing again and got up to 4th and thought it was 2rd/3rd in front of me but quickly noticed it wasn't when they both rolled bigtime before the left kink, stupid idiots really.

So the last 2 laps set about trying to get 2rd/3rd and was almost with them as I crossed the line, so another lap and I would have been 2nd!

Really chuffed but gutted there was no SR or iRating!

You're lucky. Week 13 is usually considered the worst time of the season for racing. Everyone with a Rookie license competes against A Class guys and it's usually a wreckfest. Nice one though, I been lapping the DW12 around Mid Ohio all week :drool:

Well done Chaddy! Can't wait to get back to iRacing so I can give Donington and the DW12 a go. Will have the right licenses for both the oval and road series I think. Will have my B road and C oval anyway.
