Re: Mass Effect 3
Pre-order bonuses have been announced, and the only difference for the UK is that GAME is getting the Warfare pack in place of GameStop. Oh, and GAME is the only place in the UK with the LCE, so it's a no brainer really. All pre-orders get the N7 rifle as well.
I really, really can't wait. Going to be starting another full play through of ME1 and ME2 when I get home so I know exactly what my characters will be going into ME3 with. Roll on March 6th!

Couple of new, incredible, videos showing the Multiplayer and Voice Cast.
March can't come quick enough.

Slap me silly all you want... But I've never played ME.
I downloaded the demo the other day and I thought it was brilliant. The gameplay was strangely addictive, and the scenes, even when playing the game, felt so real and immersive.
So at the weekend I bought the first two games on eBay for £8 each. Should get them later this week, I look forward to playing them

GAME won't be stocking ME3 or the N7 edition due to stock problems.
Official statement: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/game-issues-official-mass-effect-3-statement/091958
You can still order ME3 or the N7 Editions from Play, Zavvi, Amazon and ShopTo which will be updated today: http://www.ea.com/uk/1/mass-effect-3-update-1
Pretty gutted, but glad I managed to get my order in elsewhere. Ordered from two places just incase.

Prepare for the follow two occurences:
1/ Social life/exposure to sunlight will tend towards zero.
2/ Mind to be blown in the final "Act" of ME1.
I love Bioware's RPG writing. It's so enthralling, and the "twist" in ME1 is just as good as the Darth Revan one in SW: KOTOR, which is my favourite moment in all of my gaming history. A real "No f@*&ing way" moment!!
Re: Mass Effect 3
Oooh. Well, I haven't finished ME1 yet... I'm finished the Citadel bit and I've just done Noveria, so I guess I'm on my way to the next planet. We'll see what happens
Re: Mass Effect 3
Its going to get juicy thats what!
Im replaying ME2 now, as I lost a few people I didnt want to lose the first time I played it through.
I carried my charachter through from ME1, to ME2, and will be running the same carried on through ME3. However, Im still finding myself sat, head in hands crying that "I cant decide! I dont know what to chooooooose!"
Just saw the news that GAME werent stocking ME3 as well, Gods I hate EA games, I truly do. Put a new order in for the LE with Gamestop. Fingers crossed they sort it out.

Re: Mass Effect 3
It's not entirely EA's fault, it's mainly down to Game and their financial problems. EA gave them a credit contract and Game refused. EA has been extremely quick to get other web sites stocked up asap, especially with the N7 (Collectors Edition) which has sold out everywhere within the day.
I've played ME so many times in so many different ways that I have a huge amount of saves to take into ME3. I just did a full 40 hour ME1 and 20-odd hour ME2 playthrough with one character which is who I am taking into ME3. I have 2 saves however on that playthrough for the two different endings.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Not the first time Game have done this. Back when I worked with Game, we stopped stocking EA titles for a while, particularly through Xmas, due to them refusing to negotiate favourable wholesale rates. We never took any of the major releases, which hugely impacted sales, moreso on EA's side - if the UK's biggest games retailer wasn't stocking your stuff in huge numbers, you would suffer as a publisher.
This time, though, it's a different kettle of fish. There are major competitors in the market, particularly on the internet side of things, that can pick up the slack that Game are giving them.
I think this might just be time to cash in your reward points, you might not get the chance in the very near future...

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yeah, considering that within hours of Zavvi, Play, ShopTo and Gamestop receiving GAMES's special editions they were all sold out everywhere. It'll be a shame to see GAME go from the highstreet, but I very rarely shop with them nowadays what with Amazon being so cheap and having such good delivery.
Re: Mass Effect 3
yep, sister has let me know Game are going to go into admin soon unless credit from there lenders is made avilable, shame but prices to online to much, should see buy out when they go into admin but depends how many stores they keep open etc
Any way ordered normal ed on amazon

Re: Mass Effect 3
I think the supermarkets will smell blood and undercut the rug out from under GAME until it dies, then divvy up the spoils.
