Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
FINE! JESUS CHRIST! I WILL RUN IT! DOES THAT MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY NOW??
I will say though that I tried sticking the Plow logo's on the car earlier and it looks [Censored]!
Nick - I wasn't around in season 1 so how the hell would you like me to know that?

Dan, I'm not happy about this either. But we can get around this. Its not like TORA want us to parade BNP logos on all the cars.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
Might I suggest:
If PLOW's non-TORA based stuff is represented under a completely different name and logo then we would have no problem with it.
Yes that would mean completely changing loads of things and its not going to happen. OK it was just an idea. Its bad enough the Lotus-Renault/Renault-Lotus conundrum exists.
Ok so how about keeping the PLOW stuff outside of TORA, but any PLOW teams entering TORA should enter onder a completely different name, everyone who's been in tora would still regard them as PLOW, but to everyone outside would see them as a different team altogether?

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
We'll just run with the Plow ones Adrian. No point changing them at all. They wouldn't like it if they was asked to change their logo slightly or be asked to use a different name instead.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
Hi, I've just read through this and have to say I'm a little disappointed. To be honest the logo idea was the suggestion of the staff. This was a gesture made after I made an offer of sponsoring TORA for 2011 to help attract new racers and give people an incentive to race. This came to light after both Dan and Ian mentioned after racing for 3 hours round the nurburgring with no prize at the end.
My team are in a position to do this, and as TORA gave me my first taste of organized competitive racing, wanted to give something back to the community. I wanted to try and help get people racing again.
I asked for the logo to be made as simply as possible to ensure minimum layers were used as I wanted to ensure that you guys didn't feel it was a 'PLOW' car, purely a logo only.
We have always said our door is open to help with builds & tunes and have helped people on numerous occasions, also we have helped out a number of people with credits on both forza 2 & 3 from TORA. In addition to the prize fund I have personally donated millions to some of the community team so they can build cars to test to ensure up and coming car lists are competitive.
Not sure what else to say other than that I ran with the AG tuning logo when I was with AZT. I certainly didn't expect this response and hostility about it. I know of no other online racing series that has this sort of prize purse so maybe you should be thankful rather than dismissing it altogether.

P.s please feel free to change the red to blend in with your cars asthetics. Red was a default colour.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
The side logos do not have to be huge. They just have to be recognizable. The ones for the front are not to be placed in the window banner but on the front bumper or in the case of the LMP cars near the nose of the car. The colours can be changed to suit designs as well. I have a slight concern regarding the layer count but I will talk to Butcher about that.
Butcher has personally helped me and helped TORA in a lot more ways than you realize. He is helping us to grow and expand whilst now being able to offer our racers prize money, something we have never been able to do in the past. Having people moan about a small logo that was a gesture to him from us to say 'thanks for supporting us' is not helpful. It detracts from what TORA could be and we don't need members questioning everything that happens and making such a big fuss about it all for no reason.
And yes Dan, if you were to offer TORA 150 million in prize money I would happily put Austins Motorsport on my car as it shows I accept your helpfulness and generosity.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
That was a good read...Awesome infact.
I'm sorry but If I was still racing here I would also not run the logo. No offense to PLOW but as a member of VVV I would not want to run another team name on my car, regardless of what team they are. Though, if I were not in a team I wouldn't be too fussed.
Just my views on this matter.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
I think people need to seperate PLOW the online community of tuners/racers from PLOW Motorsport the 3 guys from the PLOW community that race with TORA. Just as certain members call my team (Aero Dynamics) WWR. I joined a community of racers/tuners called WWR (Wire To Wire Racing) last year. I am the only person currently racing in TORA from WWR. I am not WWR.
That's like saying Scot is Tesco's or Matt is Sainsbury's or Duncan is BF Goodrich.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
But you do realise people like VVV Slim cant enter because they represent another team altogether. To them its like being told "yes you can enter F1 but because Ferrari are dishing out the prize money, you have to have the prancing horse logo on the front of your car, is that ok Ford?".

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
For everyone's sake (PLOW's epecially), I think we should stop here and move on! We have to run with the PLOW stickers whether we like it or not. I have to accept it now, as do we all!
Sorry if this thread has got out of control but what I would suggest (as an intelligent solution) is to lock this thread after a last message or something from one of the TORA staff giving out a final clear instruction of whats happening and what we should be running.

There is clear instruction on the first post. This thread will remain open incase anyone has any further questions regarding placement of numberboxes or logos.

Re: 2011 Spotter Guides
I dont mind running with the PLOW logo, I actually didnt know what to do with it but now I know I will get it sorted! They have donated a huge prize fund and I'm happy to have their logo on my car! If I was to refuse to put it on there and (I know it would never happen but I'm just saying for arguments sake) I got the points and won the money, I would feel bad because I have just run off with their money and they get nothing out of it! I know its sorted now but I'm just saying how I feel! And Chris I will send you a copy of my design without the locked logos and see if we can sort it from there!
