Another shoddy rolling start leads to a clash of the ti...nissans. However, the localised yellow made for some good racing as they swept up the GT-Remains, safety car now out for another incident that I missed, or was it for the OTHER nissan incident on turn 2?

Yeah, great racing!

It may not be Endurance racing, but I would say its comparable to DTM or Super GT or V8 Supercars, and it produces some fantastic racing!

Algarve is next on the first weekend of May.

I wish GT1 had a more diverse grid. It just doesn't feel like a World Championship to me despite the fact that they race all over the planet. Throw in a 599XX or FXX derived car from Ferrari, a Viper for nostalgia's sake, an HSV-010 because they sound amazing, a Koenigsegg, something from McLaren, a Mosler, something from Porsche, a race version of the LFA, a Pagani, and then make Mazda build a GT1 car so there will be a rotary engine in motorsport again and then there'd be a World Championship grid.

It would also be nice to see factory teams entered and have as much manufacturer interest as GT2 has. Imagine if Ferrari and McLaren cut their F1 budgets by like 20% and put that towards their sports cars programs.

Actually, never mind all of that, I just want to see a return of Can-Am.

If only Gt1 back in the days of McLaren F1s, Porsche 911s and Ferrari F40s ran 2 x 1 hour races.

Prob is, manfactures are discouraged from taking part we all sore what happened when fia gt started and we had majore manfacture intrest for a few years.

Also GT1 has no relevance between race and real life world, yes its supercars, but BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar know that GT2 has direct impact between devloping technolgy between the track and real world, while GT1 is great but has no relevance excpet for great racing.

GT1 in it's current incarnation is only in it's second season and has produced some of the best racing that has been seen on track. Big heavy powerful GT cars being raced and treated like BTCC cars from the late 90s is incredible and the races are outstanding. It's worrying though that even coming out of such an impressive 2010 season that showed huge potential for the future, the GT1 series has already lost the Maserati manufacturer who have been a stable of GT1 racing for years now.

It is brilliant but I bet it's expensive. Apart from F1 and LMS these days there are simply no manufacturers interested in racing at the moment. Once they find the money that has somehow disappeared I'm sure there will be more cars in all the racing fields throughout the world.

Hexis look really strong this season. Their pitstops are SO quick they can make up places almost in double figures! Both this meeting and the season opener at Abu Dhabi they just shocked everyone how quick their stops were. Algarve should be a great meeting. Last year was awesome!

Epic race. Really good result for friend of TORA, Darren Turner and yet another win for the increasingly strong GTR's.

The Young Driver Aston Martins have been excluded from the results due to a technical infringement with their rear wings. Therefore, the JRM Nissan has been bumped up to a win in the qualifying race and pole for the Championship race tomorrow.
