Pro Touring Car Championship - Season 3 - Rules and Discussion
Pro Touring Car Championship - Season 3 - Rules
Introduction
Firstly, I want to thank all you guys for making the second season such a success, its been a great season so far, and the last three events will be very entertaining! The reason for having these rules up so early is to give everyone time to prepare for the third season, which will start the week after the last race of Season 2. Season 3 will see new cars, new tracks, and new drivers.. I hope! Also new for this year, is a weekly support race, running in tandem with the PTCC.
Car Choice
For this season, we will be using the WTCC 08 cars, which are available for download in the form of the PACK 2 DLC, which comes with two tracks and two car packs: WTCC 08, Formula Master 08, Okyama and Estoril. So.. These are the cars!
BMW 320si E90
Chevrolet Lacetti
Honda Accord
Lada 120
SEAT Leon TDI
SEAT Leon TFSI
Volvo C30
Once again, just as Season 2, car choice is free.
To enter, simply PM me with both of your choices, your gamertag, and your preferred name on the results tables.
Qualifying
Qualifying for season 3 will be done using the in-game single lap qualifying mode. From this, the grid will be set for the sprint race. Qualifying will start at 20:10 BST.
PTCC Sprint Race
The Sprint race will last between 10 and 15 minutes, just like this season, and will use a standing start.
PTCC Feature Race
The grid will be set from the reverse of the Sprint Race finish. A rolling start will be use. There will be one pit window for those who wish to pit, lasting from Lap 3 to the penultimate lap. Races will last between 25 and 30 minutes.
Points System
20-17-14-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Pit Stops
One pit stop must be made in the feature race. You MUST change tyres (Up and A). You may pit between lap 3 and the penultimate lap of the race.
Dropped Rounds
For this season, your worst event will be dropped, rather than your worst race. This goes for both the PTCC and Support series.
Calendar
20th July - Brands Hatch
27th July - Okayama
3rd August - Curitiba
10th August - Estoril
17th August - Elkhart Lake
24th August - Zandvoort
31st August - Anderstorp
7th September - Monza

Im in for season 2 great game forgot how much I like it now ive solved handling on the pad
Re: Pro Touring Car Championship - Season 3 - Rules and Discussion
Great to have you aboard Duncan!
I've made some changes regarding the pit-stop rule for the Feature Race.
They are no longer mandatory, but you might need to make a stop!

Re: Pro Touring Car Championship - Season 3 - Rules and Discussion
Support Racing. What do you guys want? There are four options:
Different Class (Different cars every week) over TWO races each week
Two Different Class (different cars every week) with one race each, each week
One set championship (Same cars every week), running two races per week
Two set championships (same cars every week), running one race each, each week?
