Same goes for me. And 4th isn't a bad starting point for me. Gonna have to aim for top 3 next year! Hopefully, my laps will have improved by then.Kilroy8 wrote:Oh. My. God absolutey wasted at the end of that. Drink Deprived. Food Deprived. Sleep Deprived. Yep, I'm in for next year

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
Many congrats to our winners in each class as well as everyone who took part and managed to stay right till the end.
However, there is something about this performance balancing that doesn't add up. I'm sure it's fine in all the other categories but not in P1. I don't understand why the Lola Mazda wasn't restricted still with the 5% power handicap because I bet not even the diesels could reach 220mph in a straight line. I could be wrong on that because I don't know what set-ups people are running. But it was a joke to be honest because even though I got a better exit out of certain corners at the start of the race, I couldn't keep up with Louis in the slip stream at all.
Just working it out, I reckon it was close between myself and Micko though cause I crossed the line with 18 seconds to spare and he missed the cut by 2 seconds. So I was really surprised to be in second, but disappointed not to have challenged Louis because of this "performance balancing" that clearly doesn't work in P1. Thats my opinion anyway. I wasn't happy about the 5% being removed from the Lola Mazda. I couldn't see a reason after the results from quali why this was overturned. He was on the pace with 5% removed. But there's nothing I can say or do that'll change what happened yesterday.
Also, apologies to Chris for slightly bumping into him on the Mulsanne straight. I do have issues with my controller so I may need to purchase a new one really soon.

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
Sorry you didn't get that podium Rollin, great race though. Now we can use this as motivation to try and get on the podium in the american leg of the series.
Hats off to Simon for winning GT2 from the back of the field, and congrats to all the other class winners. I had a great time, very much looking forward to the Le Mans classic and the 24 hours.

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
im not too worried Facepalmer. least i raced and had a good'un! im sure without the 5% power handicap given back b4 the race, i probably would'nt've kept up. prolly still didnt anyways, as i saw that Beemer of yours creep up on me or pull away even in the draft

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
Congrats to all the winners and newcomers for this event. It was an absolute joy to take part of...
Allthough... I dont think its fair to take away the handicaps for cars before the race just to make it "closer". My quali-time of a 13.6 was a lucky lap. My fastest before that was a 14.1. In the race I looked at the time every time I was passing the start/finish line and I was lapping at 3.14 and 3.15 every lap. (Louis qualified at a 3.14.6). When I was finished the race I was about 50 seconds behind Louis (over 1 second/lap) and to me, that is really unfair since I know I drove a solid, quick race. Not even Bulletdodger would have beaten me with that much. It is very sad to see since I know that I could never have driven my race 50 seconds faster...
In my opinion, I guess Louise could lap around the circuit at 3.13 and 3.14 easily, while I even had a hard time hitting concistant 14´s.
Im sorry if it sounds like im only complaining, but its not fair to anyone that the rules change right before the start of the race. If everyone would practice at the same amount then the difference in laptimes in qualifying would not be that large.
Thank you -VVV Micko

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
I understand, it's something that we are discussing just now about the way last night was handled.
As I couldn't take part I could only monitor the event via the forums and I can completely see where everyone's argument comes from. I know that I would be annoyed if it has happened to me.
The thing is, what we are doing this year for the ISCC is new to us. We have never ran a full series based around cars that require such handicapping to balance the field. The 2.4 was demmed to require different handicaps compared to the rest of the ISCC. This was a mistake, and we realize this. Again, this is a lesson learned. Unfortuntely we had to learn this lesson at the end of an event. We did ask for Testing to be done before the 2.4 week, but none of the community helped us much so we were very limited on actual running time. We tried our best but somethings just didn't work out as planned, or some people got an advantage and may have unfairly won.
There were some major last minute changes that I personally don't agree with but it has happened and all we can do is learn from any mistakes and make sure we have a more balanced field for the USA leg and for Forza 4.

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
I fully understand how you guys thought about changing the power handicaps for the race, but in my opinion the cars were already well balanced before the changes. The difference in laptimes was so large, probably because some people dared to push a little bit more in qualifying, had a more well balanced setup which allowed to push the car more etc etc. We all know that the difference between us guys laptimes-wise isnt a couple of seconds.
I absolutely dont blame anyone of you for making the changes, but its a little bit sad that the changes made such a big impact. I dont know how it was in the other classes and how people got affected of it, but in my situation I lost 12 (maybe 20) points in the championship which would be very valuable for me in the standings.
The mistake has been made and we can only look forward now. I was a bit upset after the race but Its allright now. I just have to look to push harder in the American leg of the season
I´m sorry if it seems like I´m complaining much. I´m really not that kind of a person. I just think that right should be right In the future, if you guys need help testing cars before events, I´d be happy to help you out. As long as my schedule allows it.

Re: Le 2,4 Heures du Mans
Sorry Shane. Might have to recreate that one as the replays usually only play the first 50 mins or so.
