Just remembered this race. I will be making a return in the Viper! Hope to win my mill.
1:26.7 right now. We will see if it gets any faster by tomorrow.

Re: Sep 18th - ALMS R3 (ISCC R12) Sunset Peninsula Reverse 1hr
i need to rely on a large GT field if i have any mathmatical chance of taking the GT crown. 62 pts behind Simon, but 39 behind Ash, so i have high hopes.
But i can at least keep my record going into the ISCC for 2012; one LMS/ISCC class-win per season. Laguna in '09, Road Atl in '10, and Laguna again this year. kinda like how Ricky Rudd had done in NASCAR

if your still running in the 24's as you mentioned earlier nicky, you wont be a backmarker. my Ferrari with the 5% h.c. is in the 24's as well.

Car feels good, very light on the back end though, not ideal coming off the banking.
Made some minor changes and running easy low 1.14s and just managed to set a clean 1.13.952 with full handicap.

I'm on full penalty tonight, which on a circuit like this with its long ass straight won't help.

Re: Sep 18th - ALMS R3 (ISCC R12) Sunset Peninsula Reverse 1hr
Absolutely gutted. About 15 minutes in I turned in a bit too close on the final corner and hit the tire barrier head on. Unfortunately general was right behind me when I did it so I inadvertently collected him as well.
After another 15 minutes I just pulled over and quit. Car was completely undriveable and a safety hazard.

Also absolutely gutted. Sideswiped the barrier at the 41st minute I believe. Got a 100% on everything except for the rear, and had to make unscheduled pitstop.
Still, I can walk away with an honour: I put in an astonishing lap that made me only 3 tenths slower than DAN! And I managed to survive even while bleeding out.
But yeah, lady luck seems to hate me...

Boooo!!
I got knocked out by Ianmr very early into the race, and lost 20mph down the straights for the rest of the race.

Re: Sep 18th - ALMS R3 (ISCC R12) Sunset Peninsula Reverse 1hr
OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'VE FINALLY DONE IT! What an absolutely fantastic race and what a stellar effort from everyone in the Gulf ATR team tonight. We've finally won a race as well as getting a one-two on the podium!
I am really gutted about Ben's race not going according to plan, but you should be feeling very high mate after that race. I'm really pleased with the effort from yourself. And what a fantastc drive from Johnny from being last on the LMP1 grid to second place overall.
I think this will take a long time to forget. WOW! I haven't felt this chuffed since our GT3 triumph in 2009!

went wide on the second of the fast chicanes on the infield and flipped the car on lap 2 resulting in 100% aero damage, but managed to drag it to the finish!
