Nice cool Sunday morning in Austin. Temp's were down to 40F overnight with a high of 73F today. Will Vettel win the title in Austin today? Friday we had 65,000 fans, Saturday 82,700. 120,000 are expected today.

Apparently 40% of the tickets were sold to Mexicans.

They may as well call this the ''North American Grand Prix'', and have the USGP at Weehawken... If it ever happens..

If they have a western GP, I'd like to see the old convention of a USGP East and USGP West return.

News Update: Massa WILL have grid penalty to benefit Fernando

Seems kind of odd that they'd even go as far as to say they intentionally changed it rather than coming up with some bullshit excuse as to why they needed to change it.

They cracked the seal on the gearbox... honest it was an accident.

Felipe Massa is set to get a five-place grid penalty in Austin after Ferrari broke the seal on his gearbox.
It means that Fernando Alonso moves up from eighth to seventh on the grid, which not only gains him a place but puts him onto the clean side of the grid. The team has just broken the seal, and not changed the gearbox.

Tickets have been sold to fans in all 50 states and 42 countries. “We've surpassed all our projections", said Red McCombs.
