Car Alfa 8C.. It feels pretty balanced. A little understeer in the heavier braking zones. But it's on max downforce and I just wonder about the build..
It is a very fast car if used right as you can tell by his lap times....
Yep any help for me and Chucky would be gratefully recieved..
Alfa 8C - Nurburgring GP - 2.04.183
Just seem to understeer at every turn I can only do 2:06

We'll be ok cupcake..
Dear Jim will you fix it for NFR to have a happy non-understeering tune.
Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
It's not looking good for us at the Nurburgring. Got much work to be done still but I don't think we can make much further progress. 2:02.1xx

Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
It's a momentume track so I gained so much time by going for a very soft set up and try to carry wide lines. Keeping scones speed and getting on the power early is key it seems here.

Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
Golden words of advice Duncan. It really is a momentum track so I'll have to change my driving style for this one. I'm no JB.
Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
Yep and make sure you hit your apex's especially through the Schui Esses, the correct line will give you 1/2 second through here.
I love this track

Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
It's funny how all the corners are named after sponsors... Like Coca Cola curve, Castrol s, NGK chicane...
At least they kinda rhyme

Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
Well, they're not named after the companies, the companies will pay the Nurburgring 'x' amount of money to stick loads of banners up at each corner and put that particular name at each corner on the track map in the event programme

Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
I've never understood big corporations... How would calling a bend "Coca Cola corner" make me want to drink Coke any more than I do now? That's silly. It should go to charity or something like that.nickyf1 wrote:Well, they're not named after the companies, the companies will pay the Nurburgring 'x' amount of money to stick loads of banners up at each corner and put that particular name at each corner on the track map in the event programme
They should call it "Oxfam corner" or "Bupa bend"
Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
To help further derail this thread...
eg:
I am a huge fan of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron. However, I am not a huge fan of tequila. Watching the races does not make me want to immediately go out and buy Patron, but, I think the next time I do buy a bottle of tequila I wil try a bottle of Patron.
I also see this type of advertising very silly, but, it supposedly has its purpose. It is meant mostly for brand recognition/awareness than it is to make people "drink Coke" any more or less than they do now. People with a preference for Pepsi will more than likely choose Pepsi when faced with a choice. Being at a track where there is a "Coca Cola corner" along with numerous other "Coke" banners is an attempt at having people without a preference choose Coke over Pepsi when face with the choice.Standaman94 wrote:I've never understood big corporations... We'll see tomorrow night I guess!
I haven't been able to test anymore since Tuesday as been manic, but really hoping to get into 2:01s... will be best performance by far for me if that actually happens.
Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
Wow, I'm not a very quick driver :/ especially compared to you guys, that's why I like enduros because it's not overly depended on time
Re: TORA GT - Lap Times
I'm struggling to hit 2:09 in the F430.
