Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
OMG!!! testing has begun, this FLM09 is horrid to drive. Feels like the rear is heavy and dragging on the floor!!
Managed to go from a 1:54 down to a 1:46.2 so far.....not enjoying our choice so far. Fingers crossed we an balance this beast!

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Just to clarify, you guys don't go into daylight savings time for another few weeks over in the UK?
The reason I'm asking is because there are a few weeks in the year where the US and UK go off a bit from where they usually are, for example EST is -4 rather than -5. The race takes place in those few weeks I believe, so anybody using their normal math to figure out when their stints are might be off by an hour. Could somebody else think about this and get back to me? I confuse myself some times.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
LOL we actually go into say light savings on the 25th March.
But this will not have an effect on the race its self due to -
Stint 5 - 10pm to 12am
Stint 6 - 12am to 2am
Are the last stints.
Clocks dont go back until 1.00 am but we would have already started the final stint at 12 so no issue.

Yeah the US goes into daylight saving this coming sunday the 11th, so the race times would be an hour later than normal for US people. Just trying to figure things out for my team, some of us have other races that day we want to try and squeeze in.

Will there be mandatory logos & numberboxes? And will they need to be in a specified place?

thats what i wanna know, me n the rest of my team are using the ISCC number boxesKilroy8 wrote:Will there be mandatory logos & numberboxes? And will they need to be in a specified place?
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I'll get back to you on that, I was just going to allow people to run replica number boxes or ISCC boxes in the same vein as the ISCC. I wanted to get a Lygo logo on the cars as they are sponsoring the event, but I am not at home to make it until the Thursday before the event.

i do not know about anyone else, but i just took the F458GT to Sebring and mustered a 2:05.900 with minor tuning. Then built the said F458GT up to R3-800, with the slight tuning i did earlier, and hit a 2:02.085. Seems to me, someone is using a modified car, and not looked at the Car List in the OP. the Ferrari F458GT should be STOCK w/ the option for 3rd party wheels, and thats it!

you sir. are wrong. it is indeed a legal spec.
I am not the fastest driver. but i reckon that with the tune i have on the lambo I could get high 2:03's with me getting my "perfect" lap.
it's entirely plausible a much faster driver could do a low 2:03's high 2:02's with the 458 (which is the faster car than the lambo)

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
If a 2:03.100 was pole on another site in a Ford GT then I can believe that a 2:02.8 can be reached by just as fast a driver in the 458. I'll be no where near that pace, but it is a 12 hour race
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
im the same, i'm not going to be running anywhere near a 2:02.8xx, but thats to a bit of help from the guys, i got a 2:17 very early this morning down to a low to mid 2:08. im still practicing and teaching my dad how to drive :s with manual and got him to take 28 seconds off his time, then i'll be practicing for sebring im still not running close to anyone else, but im great with economy so thats my high point, and with the math ive done, i should be fine can't wait for the raceRichy wrote:If a 2:03.100 was pole on another site in a Ford GT then I can believe that a 2:02.8 can be reached by just as fast a driver in the 458. Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Lap Times means nothing at the moment. I don't pay any attention to what people can or can't do on the forum. Soon as the race itself begins with qualifying, that's when we see what people can really do. By the way, I'm doing 2:07-2:08s
