TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
We're close enough that this had to be made.
About 1 month out and still no carlist. The manufacturers are at a standstill as race organizers decide who can make what and when. Will these setbacks hinder teams? Will we see a new name at the top of the podium?

The carlist. Right now we're impeded by the lack of public information--or so I like to claim for at least the sake of my opening post.

Hoping a TEC experienced team will want a driver for the whole season.
Im hugely excited for this and cannot wait to get involved.
Looking forward to seeing the options for the mystery race too

Richy, you left the word "Britcar" in the Registration thread. Twice.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
My mind is a mess, I've spent pretty much all day making threads for the TCC, NATCC and now this. Whilst trying to finalise the rules and make sure they actually make sense.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
The only thing we need is a car list.
Nobody reads the rules anyway
We have seen that many times....

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
We could release the car list just now as it is, with a big old Provisional title attached to it and no doubt we will change PIs that are required and numerous people will complain about us changing PIs - even although we stated we would be...
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I never saw a "all PIs subject to change" badge to the GTs, and that's where the uproar came.
This puts me at a setback, as I have a whole team of Non-TORA-regular drivers who I have been passing a slow trickle of data to for the past couple weeks. They're starting to grow impatient, and it's annoying me as I have no answer to give.
Not to mention having all this up without a carlist is a bit cheeky

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Read the rules as always and I have some question about the rules,
With TORA GT it is mandatory to submit your paints before a certain date to make the spotters guide. I don't see that in the rules for the TEC.
And as we are planning to enter multiple teams there is a lot of work to be done in a very short time, Testing the cars of the hopefully soon to be released car list, painting these cars for all teams and we still have to race and test in the ongoing series.
Is it also possilbe to shift the Entry that opens on the 18th of February at 8pm GMT to one week later? This to give teams that did not help testing for the carlist some time to properly test the cars and make their car choises?
As we are stuck in these cars for lemans aswell it is very important to test them on both tracks and this time is getting smaller and smaller.
How about the distance measurement, are we still using the old way? That caused some problems the last time. Any new ideas on this?
Not trying to cause problems just clarification.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
There will be Livery Submission.
Entries will be opened a week or so after the Cars are announced, which we made a big step forward with after last nights testing. Entries do not have to happen on the day and date they are opened, you can test your cars as much as you wish until you are happy with your car choice and then submit it after registration opens.
Distance will still be recorded in miles, the default distance is miles and even if we put in the rules that the distance has to be given in kilometers we will still get half the field racing under miles and giving us miles. It will be less hassle for us to mark it in miles, however if you wish to switch to kms you may do so to give us a more accurate distance.
If two cars finish on the exact same distance then their Lobby position, Lobby designation and Qualifying times will be used to order themm.

So there will be no cap on cars? Everybody can pick the cars they want?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
There will be caps on cars and on classes as usual. You just need to decide if you will risk picking a car just because you want it without testing, or wait and test and hope it is not taken until you are happy.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
No, as the car list will change three times over the course of the year.
