Entries will be opened a week or so after the Cars are announced, which we made a big step forward with after last nights testing. Entries do not have to happen on the day and date they are opened, you can test your cars as much as you wish until you are happy with your car choice and then submit it after registration opens.
Richy59 wrote:There will be caps on cars and on classes as usual. You just need to decide if you will risk picking a car just because you want it without testing, or wait and test and hope it is not taken until you are happy.
That means you can not really test untill you are happy as the cars you want could be taken by then....
We all have seen the run on cars when sign ups open.
So while the TORA GT , MR2 and soon TCC(also need to test cars for that) series are still running and comming up we need to test 2 classes of cars on 2 different tracks in about one week. And our painters need to get paints sorted and finshed.
That is getting a little much for people that also have normal lives with jobs and family.
Just hope that next time we will have the information we need a little sooner so that we can have a level playground for all teams.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Previous TEC races have not had their information or car lists released until a month or less than before the event. It is still more than a month to the event.
I haven't made a final decision on the dates yet.
Trust me, the amount of time that we have to put in to organize everything, do the admin for everything, chase things up, write the rules, prepare new series, test new cars, think up new rules takes up a lot of our own time, added to that we have to race, test and paint cars for upcoming seasons as well. yet we still have to take all this out of our own personal time and also meet the demands of the community.

I trust you, and really appriciate the effort that you and your team put in this. We are also spending alot of time on this site, so we know.
We are just eager to get testing for this series.
In no way i am holding anything against you or your guys. I just like to get things clear and I like to discus my views on these matters in the open and get some anwsers or different views on the matter.
But I know I can be very direct and sometimes this is taken the wrong way. So excuse me if I have said anything to upset you but i meant no harm....

It's ok. I've been a bit busy over the last few days so I'm a bit burned out.
All I will say is if you have seen the LMP and GTE list from Last Years Sebring and Le Mans and ISCC then you can probably make a very educated guess at what cars will be racing.

There is no point in testing anything if you don't know the specs so we do nothing for this atm.
Of course you hear speculation and rumours but untill it is official that doesn't mean @#$!
And i just hope it does not end like N8 did or the Tsukuba race, not knowing who won.
I think we had some good suggestions after the N8 about this.

On average, how many of each car are accepted until the cap is reached? Because I'm also eyeing the Corvette...

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Any idea guys about releasing the car list?
We are getting to the 1 week point....
I know you guys are also busy with TCC, just wondering it maybe for the next time would be better for you guys to launch those 2 events not so close together....
There is 1 difference with before with time to test cars, that is for the teams we have to decide for 2 events and not 1....
Sebring is much more different than Le Mans...
I am sorry, but I kept my mouth a long time closed, but it is starting to annoy me that we have to wait for a list and than a few days ago TCC is getting launched with a huge car list.....
I really like to race at TORA and I still think you guys do 1 hell of a job, but you guys should also coonsider how much time WE ( the teams) are putting time in this to test cars etc etc.
Last time I made such a comment it cost me the participation on the VLN.
I really do not hope it will happen again, after this.
Greetings, Adder

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Hey dude,
I dont want you to take this the wrong way but -
Staff have real lives as well, working family and other commitments outside TORA come first, we love what we do here but the past week has for me been extremely busy with work and my young family.
The car list is with the phase 1 testing team awaiting sign off, we are happy so far with the list and understand you want to know the car list.
The Car list will feature P1 & GTE.
The Car list will be released and we will give you enough time to pratice and choose a car.
We will not release the car list prior until its ready.
This will be very soon so please understand.
Launching the TCC car list has no impact on the Sebring 12 hours and it was the correct way to do things.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Well, this discussion has done now several times with several members of the site and staff/organisers on the other side.
I am not doing it anymore, we will not sorted this out. I will wait and see and hopefully i will make the right choice.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
The car list will be up by the weekend, the registration won't open for another 2 weeks after that. The race will then be 2 weeks after that.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
thank you. For me personally a good decision made by you guys.
2 weeks than we have a good testing period.
