Also, Rangers 0 - 2 Dundee United. Every single person with a Rangers badge on at Ibrox had the look on their faces of a 10 year old boy outside their head masters office waiting for a bollocking.

That's them out of the League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

I was in the pub watching the Liverpool vs Spurs game today and everyone in the pub roared with laughter it was fantastic!

Its hard to explain this concept to our Stateside brehteren...

Why a program is dedicated to broadcasting the entire Saturday afternoon football schedule, without actually showing the games on camera.

To begin with, the Saturday Afternoon, 3pm Kickoff, is almost SACRED, whether the Football League and the Football Association were concerned that the broadcasting of the 3pm kickoff would reduce attendances in certain venues because it would be cheaper to watch a game on TV rather than actually turn up, or in the case of the Premier League nowadays, they would not want to see less than half of the top flight matches happen on the traditional timeslot in favour of being shown on TV.

Before the advent of broadcasting these matches live, 5pm on a Saturday, the results would come in like this (bear in mind this is the ONLY footage of the old "Vidi-Printer" I could find...



...There are 92 teams in the "top" divisions of English Football, 20 in the Premier League, and then 24 in each of the three Divisions below...



...Meaning there are 46 games to play for the majority of Autumn to Spring weekends in England, which is quite difficult to keep an eye on in one go...



...Throw another 21 Scottish games, a few Welsh ones in for good measure, and it gets almost impossible...



...however thanks live TV, one game may be on a Friday night, the occasional Midday Saturday kickoff for the teams with higher reputations, or indeed back when hooliganism was giving the world the wrong side of the sport instead of the one that is seen on the bits of green around the country, also the Sunday games are spread to the world on TV, but sometimes, there will be one at half past five on a saturday evening, if people turn up...

You should go support the team, it's great what the CFU are doing there now. Much better than the dark days of Stephen Vaughn's ownership, get crowds of over 2,000 for most home games.
