How did you think I felt in the Asian series last year? I had a 10 second penalty for Tsukuba (tiny track that it is) and I still managed to win. I subsequently had 20 and 30 second penalties for both Motegi and Le Mans and still suceeded mainly due a lot of luck!
You just have to accept the penalties we recieve and go for the best result possible. I find the pit penalties to be fairer than the power handicap system from last year. We ain't gonna win everytime, I wish that was possible!
I was just absolutely amazed last night at my luck when I saw you and Magictap were having issues. I defernately didn't have the pace to win, and after the contact with Bli33ard, I was ready to settle for third place on the podium.
It's just the name of the game really. You win some, you lose some.
If you won with that much penalty then your either the worlds luckiest man or you or your car no competition

Should have seen some of our TCC testing later on lol Must get the magnets removed off our cars

The Jauguar ran perfectly for the race. I was a little worried as I had been struggling with the car in the last few practice sessions before the race, but, managed to pull myself together for the qualifying.
GLR Evoluzione showed an exceptional amount of determination throughout that race after getting tangled up with his team mate early on. My hats off to him.
cheers mate.. car was a handful 100% rear and side damage from one shunt. but thats racing and i'm glad i stuck at it as i didn't finish last although i could have stopped on 40 miles or so and still finished in the same spot!! nevermind. you just have to think keep going you never know whats happening in the other lobby...
Love the lambo and just need time in it and play around with the tune some more.. oh and keep out of the way of my team mate!
but i've took him off in the past and i'm sure it will happen again..
awesome racing and actually came away feeling like i had a ok race and enjoyed myself.. I will be back.

If there are going to be penalties, they need to be enforceable and fair. Asking people to stop longer in the pits is not enforceable.
Instead, consider adding the 10 seconds on at the end or something else please.

It was defernately luck at Motegi and Le Mans. GLR Mikem should have won at Motegi if it wasn't for his Fanatec wheel and pedals malfunctioning. And Louis should have taken the chequered flag at Le Mans if it wasn't for his own mistake in the strategy.

Let's just see how it plays out during the rest of the season. This is the first we have heard of any complaints and to be honest this was when I was expecting them to start appearing. Asia wasn't the best test for it so we can monitor how it works throughout the start of the European season.
If it is a complete fail and no one likes it then we can scrap the penalty system for America or something.

That explains it. Right at the start of the race I was wondering why you two were running so close together.Chucky 1982 wrote:Should have seen some of our TCC testing later on lol Must get the magnets removed off our cars
I think part of the reason why we have to pit within the first 25 minutes is so that stewards can check the replay to ensure that the penalty was enforced.VVV Magictap wrote:If there are going to be penalties, they need to be enforceable and fair...
LINKTORA MSA ISCC Season 3 - Rules and Regulations wrote:To serve this penalty- The top 3 from the previous race must serve said penalty at the first pitstop, upon arival to your pit stall the driver shall hit pause. (it is this action that does not allow the car to move once the pit stop is completed) Upon the sound of the jacks dropping the car at the end of the pit stop, the driver shall wait until their time penalty has been served before unpausing (where the car will then start to move out of the pitlane). The replays will be reviewed where if a driver does not serve their penalty, they will have double of their penalty added to their finish time. (example- If a driver had 20 second time penalty to serve durring the race, 40 seconds will be added to their finish time.)
As for fairness, I do like the explaination that Louis gave a to why the penalty is not added on to our final time (so as to keep us racing). The 10 second length of the penalties does seem long. However, if a driver averages 0.5 seconds a lap faster than his competitor, at the end of a 30 lap race (LMP did 33 and GT did 29/28 at Camino) that driver should have a 15 second lead over his competitor. With the penalty the way it is, that driver also has the added challenge of passing his competitor to prove they deserve that spot.
I was ready to push for a 5 second penalty now that I actually have to serve it, but, changed my stance after thinking about it for a bit. As Richy said, "Let's just see how it plays out during the rest of the season."
On the Lobby A vs. Lobby B issue, I for one cannot wait for the day when we will all be able to race together and have the ability to repair aero damage in the pits. But, I accept it the way it is for now. There is no real saying what were to happen if different people were in different lobbies. WWR Aero had the worst luck with GT traffic in Lobby B and was slowed down considerably because of it; if he were in Lobby A, he could have been much faster with the GT cars in that lobby, or, he could have been taken out when Bli33ard had issues. That is just the way racing is.

All rules have been updated, please see -
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t7096-iscc-rule-update-06-02-2012
We have listened to feed back from yourselves regarding the pit stop penalty and -
"Success Balance
There will be No success Balance in this championship- Lobby's will be separated by 7 seconds (no matter the number in each lobby) so that at the start each lobby is down by 7 seconds from the get go (Lobby A is at 0, Lobby B is at 7 seconds, Lobby C is at 14 seconds etc.)"
Any questions please let me know.

Re: MSA TORA ISCC Europe Round 2 - Camino Extreme 5/2/2012
We thought about monitoring the remainder of the season but to be fair, if it is putting people off racing in the series then that is something we needed to address.
We want people to come here and have fun, and not to feel like we are intentionally making the faster guys slower to give others a free win. If you spend your week testing a tuning to make sure you are getting the maximum out of your car, and yourself, then why should you turn up if you are being hindered before you even start the race.
Hopefully we can move on and have a fantastic remainder of the season.
