The line-up reads like a who’s who of GT cars – Aston Martin DBRS9, Audi R8 LMS Ultra, BMW Z4, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo and LP600, McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 and Porsche 997 GT3 R are among the 10 brands represented on the grid.
For 2012, the event programme has been expanded. Under the moniker of The Blancpain Race Weekends, the programme will also include the Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world’s most prestigious one-make series with two 50-minute races during the weekend.
In a nod to nostalgia, the Blancpain Revival Series, new for 2012, will be staged at five Blancpain Race Weekends. The series is the domain of GT cars which raced between 1994 and 2004.
