Something mesmerising about watching cars lap the circuit at night. I so wish for FM5...

I've been watching since the start at 9am Eastern. I wasn't fond of Speed switching coverage to Nascar qualifing and emergency practice at points in the race.

Re: 24 Heures du Mans 2012 - 80th Edition
I stopped watching last night as the Toyota went into the pits after hitting the Delta Wing. Anything happen since?
That was a huge crash from Davidson, both drivers are lucky to be able to get out of that. I can't believe the weight difference or how the GT car demolished the barrier yet the P1 car only used the tyres to stop it. Pretty incredible. I still think both drivers were to blame, the Ferrari saw him and should have just backed off a bit, but he was starting to turn in and set up to take his line at a very fast corner and Davidson put his car there to pass when he could have just waited a bit. Davidson isn't exactly the most patient driver.
The battle on track right before the crash between the Audi and the Toyota was absolutely brilliant and I don't think we were expecting that.
Shame Nakajima drove into the Delta Wing and damaged the car that much, I know he's a rookie to Le Mans but I honestly don't think putting him into that car on their first attempt was the best thing to do, especially as they wanted to show what they could do.
The GT battle for the first few hours was nose to tail, I love how the GT cars in all the endurance races I have sen this year treat it more like a sprint race
Dumas of the #3 Audi ripping his car to bits to get back to the pits was fantastic.
Oh, and Eurosport's commentary was [Censored] pathetic last night.
EDIT
Just read that Davidson has a broken back. Hope its a quick recovery for him.

still think am car was at fault, if you look back you see a lot of cars passing their exactly same way ant passed, he didnt use his mirrors, always use your mirrors even in motorsport basic error there but way car took off was freak speed wind etc etc,
have enjoyed so far lasted till 3am in bed, 6 hours to go its a normal wec round lol x3 f1 races lol

I hate this system at work, I can't watch any live steams from any of the sources, plus I can't listen to RLM as the required plug ins aren't installed and I can't get them
Re: 24 Heures du Mans 2012 - 80th Edition
Still alive and kicking after 21 hours. Been keeping up with Flying Lizard updates on Facebook, sitting in P4 currently, and still hoping for a Lizard on the podium!
Been a hellish weekend for both Flying Lizard and Corvette Racing.

Re: 24 Heures du Mans 2012 - 80th Edition
Yeah, there's no point in me switching on my phone out here. No WiFi either, its mainly the security systems that bogs down or blocks steaming.
