Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012

The NFS:MW game is being re-developed and was officially announced by Need For Speed today. The developer will be Criterion Games, who made the new Hot Pursuit.

Personally, I'm in 2 minds about this one. I loved Most Wanted on my Ps2, but I hate Criterion Games. I hope the driving physics aren't that horrible drifty style like in Hot Pursuit.

I loved Hot Pursuit, It was the most accessible and fun NFS game since... Carbon or Most Wanted. It was easily the best selling NFS game of all time, too.

I agree the physics weren't great, but it made it fun. Powersliding through the desert in a Zonda was fantastic and so easy.

I hope this new Most Wanted is similar, but maybe take the physics up a notch so it's not so childish

Criterion should have focused on making Burnout and not been forced to make EA's NFS games. The Burnout games are the best arcade racing games of all time and we are long overdue another instalment. Most wanted was my favourite NFS game but I think its more nostalgia more than anything.

Because of the fun my 9-year-old self had playing Most Wanted, I'll probably end up buying it this year. Providing I can get a summer job
