TASCAR 2012 - Round 9 - Silverstone National - 29th September 2012

Qualifying starts @ 3pm EDT (8pm BST)
Race Day starts @ 4pm EDT (9pm BST)


Qualifying Format:
-Deadline to post 'IN' for Qually is 2:30pm EDT (7:30pm BST). Lobby for Qualifying will open by roughly 2:30pm.
-Standard 4 lap settings. With the Nature of the size of the National Layout, we will use an abbreviated version of the Oval Race setup for qualifying. "TWO drivers at a time". Once the game lobby counts down, we will all form up on the longer pit-exit tarmac. 2 "Flying" Laps to get your best time. Clean laps take priority over Dirty laps.
-Damage will be set to Limited, Collisions to Off so there is no worry of catching someone else's draft.
-Once finished with your two flying laps, stop near the entrance to pit lane.


Race Day Format:
- Race Length is 46 laps. Lobby will be set to 47 laps for the Pace Lap/Formation lap.
- Damage will be set to Limited, Collisions are ON.
- ONE Mandatory pit stop.

Caution/Safety Car Speed: 60mph
Safety Car/Caution
In The case of a Safety Car is called, DO NOT brake to get down to Safety Car speed. this could cause chaos. Let off the throttle and let the car slow down on its own. During the Safety Car period, Everyone forms up Single-File until everyone has caught up, then the field should reform into 2-by-2 formation for the restart.
- During Safety Car
While under the Safety Car, drivers may pit and use their 'Mandatory' pit for that session/stint. Anyone who may be a lap down can get a lap back (but not those involved in bringing out the Safety Car).
---A Safety Car can be called up to the penultimate lap of the Race, and thusly the final lap will end under caution, and go into "Green-White-Checkered" rules once all competitors are back to the main lobby. If there are not enough laps to have a "Green-White-Checkered" under the Scheduled distance, the final laps can be run at a faster pace to complete the laps, BUT NO PASSING IS ALLOWED!!!

A Couple Scenarios for Final Race:
BloodYCaiN - wins (Rollin InAn STi - 7th or Worse) = BloodYCaiN wins Championship
BloodYCaiN - wins (Rollin InAn STi - 6th or Better) = Rollin InAn STi wins Championship
BloodYCaiN - 2nd (Rollin InAn STi - 9th or Worse) = BloodYCaiN wins Championship.
BloodYCaiN - 2nd (Rollin InAn STi - 8th or Better) = Rollin InAn STi wins Championship

Also, FranchittiFan has a mathematical chance at 2nd place. if 12 drivers make the Finale, Chaddy would have to win and CaiN to finish last for Chad to take 2nd place in Drivers' by 1 point!

in other words Cain need to finish 7 places ahead of you lol

i guess you can say that, yeah.

this year, it seems a lot closer than last. ATR DAN was able to clinch the title by just qualifying for the final race.


....and one thing i dont think has ever happened, anywhere, is if i were to clinch the title this year, is win a Championship WITHOUT a race win this season. but time will tell next week if i can land a win in the final race of the year, on my birthday.

Sorry again to Doughnut for the shot in T1 early on. I really did not anticipate such an early brake there, and was way too close to avoid you. If it makes you feel any better, I suffered some front aero damage and never was very quick after that.

Sidenote: Anyone else quicker at 2AM after a few drinks than they are stone sober in broad daylight? I lost a whole second overnight.

Had I not missed the first race you and I would be real close. It would appear I need a win and you need last for an upset. Or something like that.

Many thanks Mikey, get this, I went to the euro gamer on Sunday, meet up with Richy, he pot me in front of a fanatec wheel to do some laps in a kia, never been on a wheel before, I ran a second slower our something than Richy, is this normal? or is worth me getting a wheel?
