We wont need lap times its races that decide the grid so i just think it'll be about race craft and luck.

fyi Chaddy. fastest 2 qualifiers for Sunset this weekend will be locked into their respective positions regardless of how they finish in the Qualifying Races. it works the same with nascar's qualifying procedure for Daytona.

Each remaining race after Sunset is the standard qualifying procedure, which is just based off times

Exactly, and with some of these tracks, i think "clean air" will be valuable than "dirty air"

But this is not one of those tracks.... I think that drafting will be more valuable than clean air.

Did a few recon laps last night, and every lap was in the 45's.

I heard that my 45's were some two secs off pace, so I did some adjustments to both the car and my line, and found the upper 43s. Tried something really weird that helped top speed, but hurt in the turns, so I went for a more conventional direction.

Just fyi, final drive and downforce should not be touched in the tuning this season, as I stated in the rules. Last year, there was no tuning allowed.

That said, IMO, best thing for Sunset is very smooth steering inputs to get quick times. Those using a wheel may have an advantage I think.

I'm actually surprised the brakes on the Stock cars aren't adjustable..

I will allow Race Brakes to the car builds for that reason then Mikem. Will update the rules when I get home from work, but for now, I'll post here the new PI's of the two Stock Cars w/ the race brakes:

Ford: 729 (+American Racing Outlaw II wheels + Race Brakes) = 730
Chevy: 730 (+American Racing Outlaw II wheels + Race Brakes) = 731

me- 2:08.664 but then tweaked the car too much and now im getting a 2:09.162 as my best... Sad

Anyone have laps in at Indy yet? I seem to be hovering around 51:00 with the odd lucky lap in the upper 50s.

i spent about 20 laps last night getting things in order for Indy. half of those were in the wall. lol! if i can get consistent around this place, my lap times could pay off. Very Happy
