Not really fair to change the day when there's a prize involved incase people can't make it

I do think you're being too nice awarding points to people who didn't turn up tonight, those who did turn up should get points but not those who didn't try. It's your call fellers but it's not fair on the people who did at least try to get on both weeks and sat in lobbies for over an hour.

Point taken, but it also could be said that it's not fair to race on a day when very few people can actually connect, seeing as there's a prize involved.

Yeah but this problem is temporary, hopefully, whereas changing the day isn't.
That as well as the fact people have put a lot of time into this and to change the day when it's what people have signed up for is just a no no.

So what if the day changes and the entrants go from 130 ish (can't remember exactly) to about 50.

Sorry I disagree. The race was meant happen last week. This week was only meant to be a bonus. Points should be awarded for any driver that qualified last week. All be it minimum points for their lobby group ranked on qualifying time for multiple non-attendees for this weekend.
Real life gets in the way, plus people organise their Xbox time around the TORA calendar to be told to cancel other organised sessions to accomodate a reschedule. Personally I was only trying a couple times then I was going to go back to my original plans. I'm sat around last week end hoping Xbox would get organised and it didnt
Re: MSA TORA GT Meeting 1 (Take 2) - Silverstone International - Sunday 15th July @ 8pm BST
Really sucks that xbox/microsoft is making this such a hassle. This championship is going to be great as long as everyone stays, but at this rate Im not sure. Please microsoft/xbox get your act together.

I'll be withdrawing from this series. Not going to keep doing all that practice and have it waisted come race time because turn 10 and Microsoft can't get their crap together.

Re: MSA TORA GT Meeting 1 (Take 2) - Silverstone International - Sunday 15th July @ 8pm BST
It's quite disheartening for us to see many people looking to quit the series because of these connection issues. It's not our fault and I appreciate that you guys understand that, however after putting all this time and effort into preparing, running and actually racing in the series and then seeing these issues turn people away doesn't help our outlook on everything.
All we can do is try again next week at Hockenheim. If this all happens again and we get very little to no racing going then we may have to seriously think of postponing the series until these connection issues can be resolved. We have a huge prize on offer and none of us want the winner to be the person who was lucky enough to get into a couple of races.
At least after last night Microsft is well aware that there was a issue. No Forza communities were able to race, many other games were affected and their twitter account was bombarded. If this happens again them people will be straight onto them and they will have last night to reflect on.

It'll be fixed. How long is another question though...
I won't be leaving, I'll be letting everyone else do the leaving. Better results for everyone who stays

Re: MSA TORA GT Meeting 1 (Take 2) - Silverstone International - Sunday 15th July @ 8pm BST
I'd like to see Silverstone scapped and we start the whole championship again once its sorted, yes thats unfair on those who did get to race but can we really start a 'Great' championship when only half the grid raced? Look at f1 @ Indy 05 as a example.

.... you're using THAT as your example?
that had 6 cars. We had a boatload get racing and get results. I can't honestly think it's fair on those who raced at all.

Re: MSA TORA GT Meeting 1 (Take 2) - Silverstone International - Sunday 15th July @ 8pm BST
The example im making is that it was bad for F1, and this is bad for us. We know we have the staff and the knowhow to run this championship with the HUGE numbers we're getting. Start it all again, get some great racing from every driver in every lobby, and have a desevering champion at the end.

Re: MSA TORA GT Meeting 1 (Take 2) - Silverstone International - Sunday 15th July @ 8pm BST
Well I think the extra dropped round option was the best to do here, but put series on hold till the lobby issues are sorted

I couldn't disagree more - there's no guarantees with delaying it, restarting it or re-running it, you could wait a few weeks until it appears everything is OK, start again and then BANG, it all falls over again. In fact I refer you back to last week when there were calls to scrap the results of the lobbies that ran and re-run it last night...
"...exactly, the same thing could happen again even if it was re-run..."
And it did. The show must go on regardless, and the two dropped rounds is a good compromise solution. It would also set a bad precedent for the future, what do you do if 3 or 4 rounds in Xbox Live has problems again? Do you cancel the series, restart rounds. Onwards and upwards I say...

Also, I don't agree that it reflects badly on TORA - other organised racing series that was racing last night had to abandon, including the VTCC and Virtual Motorsports championships.

Cheers Magic,
Staff have been working behind the scenes extremely hard to contact xbox live support you should see the number of tweets we have raised as this is a XBOX LIVE ISSUE NOT A TORA ISSUE
This has no reflection on TORA, those that think it does need to read up on network issues and xbox live and come have chat we me on live
