TORA Nürburgring 8 Hours - General Discussion

Is this event happening and when?

Yes, it is happening over the weekend of the 8th/9th of December. Details will be released closer to the event, we haven't even announced the details of the Britcar 12 Hours which is happening on the weekend of the 15th/16th of September.

I just noticed the date in the title so I'm a bit confused. Oh...this is a long way out. Thanks!!!

is this event 24 hours or 24 laps

24hrs would be fun. 8hrs could be done with 2 drivers with ease

Nurburgring is awesomeness at the worst of times. At the best of times it's epic.

it's green hell, if you hit a curb too fast and roll your car... twice... on the same lap... and miss the pits... but if none of that happens, it's the best track on game i recon

run a more forgiving tune lol...
i use the kerbs to an advantage....

there are only 3 that i know could be a problem to flip a car....

1. ex muhle - top of hill on right.
2. klostertal - the right before at end of long left stretch
3. pflanzgarten - flowing sweepers near final stretch

is the first one the right hander 2 corners before the carosel
and yea, my tune last year was so bad it was worse than being c**p, haha

i think the one you are thinking of in no. 2

no.1 is after the hairpin left, then down a slight hill to a double apes right then up the hill to the right... its the stonking great strip on right there.

If you want to do a 24 hour race correctly around Green Hell rfactor VLN Mod is the only way to do it.

everything else does not matter.

We should wait till next year.... Forza 5 will hopefully have a day/night cycle.

I'm all good for 8 hours. Teams of 2 or 4.
...Then again, of course I am. I'll be in it to win it.

8 Hours will be teams for 2-4, even stints basically and will be great fun to do in one day.
