No, ex-TCC cars need to have Sport tyres fitted for Clubman class
Wow. I was very happy with the 2:12s I was hitting in my MR-2 until I saw 2:09, then got even more depressed when I saw 2:08.
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
TORA has a lot of fast guys, if you want to win a 24 hour endurance race worry more about running consistent paces each stint and keeping your car clean.
in the 24 heures du mans AAR came in 6th over all despite starting in last place in our class during qualifying and showing very slow times compared to F4H CQR and the like.

I know this, as that is my strategy in endurance races, and even to a point in TASCAR. It helped our car get a sixth place finish in GT in the 24, after losing the better part of two early stints due to lag.
In my last TASCAR race, I was lined up sixth for the second 50 at Sedona, noticed the car in front of me and the car next to me were hopping/digging/floating, so I opted to the rear of the grid to avoid a lag wreck in the first turn, and pulled out a sixth there too.

Yea, the fastest car doesn't always win.....I mean M&M Racing have won the GT class at Sebring & Le Mans

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
Finished testing all the production GT class cars, unturned
Fastest was a 1.59.749, slowest a 2.02.123
The balance there is nice :-) although I'm only an average driver.

Tempted to add a twin turbo for effect lol
And re-map the engine for 1.2 GigaWatts. wonder if the Green X challange would like it renewable resources? maybe?.....

same as yourself ive being testing 4 of the GT class cars with the 15% handicap and searching for the 51 second lap time , after multiple tuning setups it seems i was just running the wrong racing line lol so now ive 2 of the GT`s in the 51 second bracket but still have some room for improvement on the tune.
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
Can someone tell me (roughly) how much time is lost for TORA gt class with the -15% power handicap? Because I was running 1:48's in the ford in test drive do there was no handicaps

you really need to be testing with the handicap as i found the gear ratios are a world apart from test drive to handicap.
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
Yea true, I will be on the weekend because it's quite hard with school and marathon training 5 times a week :s
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
I have tested 3 Prod GT cars with the correct PI but the default tune and here is what I got.
Porsche Cayman R: 2:00.5xx
BMW 1 series: 2:01:5xx
Ferrari 360: 2:01.7xx
can deffinitely pick up quite a bit of time as I only ran 3 laps with each car.

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
Yeah I downgraded LMR's ISCC car so it's setup for 450+HP not 385 so I will have to lower the gearing quite a bit I would imagine
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
First car I've built: Mazda RX8 2:01.05
On a mission to find, um... 3 freaken seconds??? Bloody mission improbable there.

Nice point, but that means 5 teams ran faster and just as consistent and kept thier car clean just like you guys.

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
how are you guys so fast? just curious on how you get such quick lap times and so often? is a good tune the key or is there more to it?
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
I set a 2:09.7xx in the Omni....jeebers that thing can Go Like Hell Shelby lol
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
I was only able to get into the 11's and 12's with the 03 and 10 coopers respectively. Still shocked at the Omni. I only got into the 11's with the e30 before I found out it was banned.
