Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
I got a couple lucky laps in the :11s in the Volvo 242. Things a beast on Hangar Straight.

in the 24 heures du mans AAR came in 6th over all despite starting in last place in our class during qualifying and showing very slow times compared to F4H CQR and the like.
Nice point, but that means 5 teams ran faster and just as consistent and kept thier car clean just like you guys.
our lap times where pathetic at the start of the race cause it seemed like we were the only team running downforce, however if abe hadn't lagged out it would have been a different story - with that being said i bet we would have been well into the top 3, the only problem is that you were right...even then 2 teams were faster and if i remember right running on average 10 miles a stint farther than us lol

A good tune helps, but a good driver makes it. A very good tune can maybe get you a second max and that's if you're lucky imo.

Seems like a lot of people are going for the Production GT rather than the actual GT cars?

light work on an NSX: 1:59.8xx?
before the PI re-jigg for Clubman, my best time in the 2000 Integra was a 2:08.8xx. have to drop the PI and retry it out

Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
Wow I have a lot of work to do I am about 5 seconds off in clubman class that is not good. Admittidly this is my first time trying to get a TORA spec car so I may have completely the wrong upgrade path and tune to allow me to be competitive or maybe I have a hec of a lot to learn.
Re: TORA Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone - Lap times
don't worry, my first race with tora was the 24 laps of the nurburgring anf i ran in basically production GT, and failed miserably, you get the hang of it with time, and a lot of the guys here will most probably lend their assistance with basics to get you started

Quick tip, for Silverstone you'll need something with good straight line speed to do well in the Clubman class i reckon.

The Volvo 242 gets down the straights pretty well.

acceleration seems to be the most important stat around silverstone for these cars from what i've found, that combined with decent handling will get you sub 2.10's
