Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
ok cool as, just wondering because i had TCM style boxes, so i thought id ask
Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
Thing is, I'd like this to be authentic, and nobody ran the same style numbering anyways back then, the only thing I've prepared is a series logo akin to something seen at Classic le mans or any other historic racing club, I have gifted these to several people, they are a bit huge and awkward to get on the cars, I'll figure out how to shrink it a bit more...

Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
Picked the nice red one ...In man talk the 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale.
Now I have a massive ask if you guys say sling your hook I'd understand but I don't know how to get the optimum build but can coble together a descent tune . Any chance some one can do me a build ...I'd pay for it but would understand if the answer is "NO"

Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
Thanks for the help with the build for the 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale now to tune this little fellow !
Just to clarify does the livery have to be particular to this car or can I maybe take a more intricate design from that period off another model as the livery on this particular car is ... how do I put it "[Censored]" red car a few decals and a big sod off number!!
And will you be throwing any testing into the mix !

This is the 1982 Lancia Stradale and I've based my design on this because it's within the time period we will be racing and it's Italian plus it's a Stradale so please please let me use this !!!

I see no problem with the livery on the Alfa, as for the Lancia, it is not the right year , cars from 1963-73, at the height of the European Touring Car championship in its original form. Or as close to it as possible.

Build Update:
Division 1 (Under 2500cc): 400 PI
No Bodywork upgrades, but bumpers CAN be removed
Division 2 (Over 2500cc): 550 PI
Any form of Spoiler CAN be added to these cars.
The handful of Trans-Am cars have the choice of having air scoops in the hood, it's optional but it is not authentic to the type of machinery that ran during the 63-73 Touring Car era.

Any objections to me entering a 1963 Beetle painted as Herbie? I'm going to be hanging at the back anyway so might as well do it in style.

Carlist Update:
The 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo is now in Division 2 rather than in with the 2500cc or less cars in Division 1.
Despite the engine being 2.0 Litres, it has a turbocharger (doy, forgot about this to begin with, essentially if the car has a turbocharger, you match it with the cars with double it's engine capacity. Which makes all the difference when I get round to finally dealing with Group A cars )
Car Aesthetics Update:
For Division 2 cars, now ONLY CERTAIN CARS can have bodywork Upgrades, as the Forza wings are mainly carbon fibre.
The BMW 3.0 CSL can have the "sport" bodywork upgraded for historical accuracy, there are also a few other cars that can have specific bodywork parts upgraded.

Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
After testing a few cars got my mind set on a Division 1 Jap entry.Hope to get paint sorted and get it posted up soon:)
Can i ask if there is a points deduction for changing cars during the championship.Reason i ask is i was very close between two cars. Its not for speed or other way apart from i love both the cars
Really looking forward to this.

LOOONG way away from championship yet, the first set of races (if and when they happen) will be just races to see what needs chopping and changing...

I'll probably go with a Porsche or Muscle Car.
Re: TORA Classic - European Sports and Saloons '63-'73 - Discussion Thread
This thread has gone a bit stagnant, so so I'm bumping this with the news that the 4th "One Nighter" will be running the formula in sprint races.
