Schedule Proposal for 2013

I have an idea: LeMons 24 Hours of the World

Based on the 24 Hours of LeMons... cars that are cheap in the real world, too old to be new, too new and/or crappy to be classics. Lots of stock parts, no aero, stock width tyres... probably somewhere in C Class.

To keep things interesting, every stint would be on a different track. Use a mix of grip and power oriented tracks, but focus on the shorter variants. i/e/ Silverstone National, Tsukuba, Road Atlanta Club, Nurb GP Short...

Kinda like TEC events, but wayyy less serious.

like i said before staff will not be running more than 5 events unless we get some £ funding lol

This gets my vote, anymore would be too much for our guys to commit to, it starts to eat into some serious family weekend time when you talk about 12 weekends in a year.

LMP/GTE: FIA WEC style?
Sebring 12 Hours
Le Mans 24 Hours
Nurburgring GP 8 Hours
6 hours of Laguna seca/Silverstone 6hrs?
Petit Le Mans 1000 miles

However I really would love to do britcar again maybe a actual Britcar series instead of ISCC? GT/Production class? then some big races? Silverstone 24hr?

Hmmm, wonder if making teams stay in the same class & car for the year would and turning it into a year long championship type thingymajig would be cool?

There will be up to a maximum of 5 events next year.

Car classes will change we aim for a maximum of 2 classes per event due to limitations of players in a lobby.

We know what we want to do and will release soon

We could do more if we have a £ budget provided to us

You mean to tell me you need real world money to run an event on a video game? If this does happen to be true, EXPLAIN!

Have you looked at a £ donation system for the site?

I'd still like the 24hrs of Daytona be recreated here. That would just be awesome. As I've said before it'd be totally different to what's been done before

Agreed.

Between ISCC, LM24, and possible Petit, do we really need to do Sebring over Daytona?

I think that we should look into something at Motegi or Suzuka to complete the "World" motif of the knockoff TEC.

Yea we have its something we have thought about but we didn't want to impact the community however its something we may put up, cheers all.

Yes to the point why does it cost money -

Well for example staff work full time (real world jobs), have family's, have homes to run like we all do, planning these events has a impact on some of these real world functions meaning time it takes to set up all the planning etc behind the events is a huge amount of time, having to book time off work impacts £ as well as all the above, I know I would love like all staff to do more and have a full time job running TORA but this is not possible due to real world so 5 is a maximum will we run as official TORA sanctioned events.

I have my doubts too, but I think the lad is onto something, I think it would be better if all Enduro races were run across LMP/GTE cars and only two classes as opposed to 3. But still make drivers and teams apply for cars at the beginning of each event.

On the topic of donations, I'd personally be happy to make a donation if the facility became available, you don't have to look around for long to realise how much work goes into TORA.

Good idea. But if you ever have a genius idea that just can't happen without x amount of cash, put it on Kickstarter. There, you'll gather money from those who like it, plus gain new interest from outsiders who also like the idea.

exactly serious all we are sorry we cant commit to more eduro races but 5 will remain for now with a max of 2 classes for all events

How about adding a third non-championship class for some races?

How about if you find people that are willing to help with the endurance races for free?

I know people want to do more but we are only going to do 5 events

I was going to do that until AMR Garage said he was going to do that for his Mini SuperGT league and then I find out the league went south after I started the 4 Hours of Tsukuba.
