Maybe, if not a full on official then Simon or someone will give a slot on the front page of the forums some where

Well, if its not an official endurance race, I might run it after the 4 Hours of Tsukuba and see what happens.

After the mild success that the ChumpCar 100 had yesterday, I am considering doing a longer more polished version of the ChumpCar/24H of LeMons format.

Two classes, Overweight and Underpowered. Under Cr. 10,000. Track, distance, stints and PIs TBD. 6H of LeMons @ LeMans anybody?

Three two-hour stints?

^ Something like that. Or four 90 minute stints even.

And upon further thought, I seriously doubt that LeMans would be a suitable venue. If something horrible happens in the first few turns, hobbling a broken car to the pits would take forever. Nurb GP, Infineon, Laguna Seca are prime candidates.

Laguna, isn't that the home for the 24hr lemon cup??

I think it is at Sonoma. And while I love endurance racing, I am not even going to try to organize a 24H event. 4-8 hours tops is my limit.

Good idea for running 4-8 hour endurance events. As the late Richy59 said, start out small.

I have seen 2 hours be too long. It better be entertaining through the field most of the time, otherwise...
