Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
A lot of discussion was had on Sky live testing about it too, Graham Lowton (Team Principal?) was avoiding any hint of change with Razia. Crofty was trying to go down the route of the driver/engine link but Lowton was having none of it.

Even tho I'm a vettel, Fan, I would like to see him NOT win it this year. But as to the next champ, I hope Alonso DOESN'T get it. I want either Button, Kimi or (dare I say it) Hamilton.
I could car less about the manufacturers title tho.
Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
All I care about is Di Resta showing he is a top team driver and getting signed as Ferrari number 2.

Ok, this is really starting to grind my gears. Do all North Americans say this? It's couldn't care less. Saying I could care less doesn't even make sense

Watch the f1 show.
Fascinating stuff....... I'm sure...
I have Sky, I just never watch the F1 show. It just doesn't interest me off season!

That sounds like Force India should be the Ferrari driver training team. Why doesn't Ferrari just do the satellite team deal, like Red Bull/Toro Rosso? That way they could ensure that their development drivers get the proper track time.
Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
^Expensive. I expect Red Bull have more finance available compared to Ferrari.

Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
Why do that?
How many Torro Rosso drivers have actually went on to better drives? Compare that with Sauber, who've helped propel drivers like Kimi Raikonnen, Felipe Massa, and now Sergio Perez into top seats.
I don't think Ferrari or Force India actually care about whether or not Force India has Ferrari engines. All the engines are the same these days anyway, it's not like 10 years ago when each engine had it's own characteristics (BMW's high powered, but fragile motor was often seen exploding at Monza and Hockenheim, for example).

Toro Rosso's graduates have more World Championships than the combined total at Sauber in Vettel's 3 titles.

Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
De Costa will take over from either one of the Torro Rosso drivers or Mark Webber for 2014 that I'm sure of, the guy's lighting quick.
Marussia looks set to give Bianchi a race seat as Razia has missed his second payment for his drive.
And remember Force India have Merc engines but Mclaren backing. So there more of a McLaren b-team and thats why so many thought Di Resta would be in a McLaren this season.

Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
i'm sure you make all this up.
Di Resta not getting a seat at McLaren had nothing to do with his links to Mercedes, the fact is off the 3 drivers available the other two were better.
plus, i think its Kovalainen who's in talks with Marussia and has a better chance of the seat.

Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
im not making it up, ALOT of people really thought Di Resta had a chance of a top seat, hell at the end of 2011 people were saying he could very well be in a Mclaren or Ferrari if he keeps going the way is was.
Id love to see HK back in a F1 seat but sadly cant see it, I hate caterham for dropping him.

Hate to say it, but uhhh...
Good for him. He's been on the Young Driver's development testing thing since 2011, and obviously another keen racer so bring it on! Will be a GP2 reunion at the back with Chilton, Van Der Garde and Bianchi won't it! Fantastic.

He should be in the McLaren seat in my opinion. Certainly better than Perez. The irritating little Mexican.

This news seems to have come out of nowhere!
Great news for F1! There are only three engine manufacturers these days, which is quite ridiculous when you imagine the situation just a decade ago.
I'm hoping for McLaren to revert back to their traditional orange..

I wouldn't say nowhere, it was rumoured last year. A spokesman for Honda also said that they would provide engines when "the time is right".

Re: 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
I don't think McLaren would change their 15 year old livery for something like this. Mind you it would be iconic! Would look weird with the new shapes etc though :/
Mind you if Honda get their way it could end up like this disaster again!
