Yeah I was really shocked about this... I had one for '09 GP and it was mint.

I've never been to a NASCAR or F1 race yet, because they are all too far away (hopefully my first is gonna be the NASCAR Truck race at MOSPORT!)

but SpeedTV did a little thingie on the fanvision and I've seen commericials for it and its amazing. Bernie is an idiot for not giving them the money they wanted.

on the otherhand Ferrari is looking to put Bianchi in the remaining FI seat and have signed ex HRT driver PDLR in their development team (mainly to run simulator duties)

I think di Resta is right. Unfortunately in F1 as with other motorsports, your "backing" is what gets you a seat, even if it is McLaren. Unless, of course, if you're a "proven" driver.

With DLR having been at McLaren for so many years, he will have a lot of information to pass on, especially when it come to McLaren's simulator. Him and Alonso are like two peas in a pod.

Di Resta is probably one of the most over-hyped drivers on the grid, he was beaten by both Sutil and Hulkenberg over a season, and all he can talk about is "how is he has a good relationship with all the team bosses"

Think he benefits immensely from the exposure that British F1 drivers receive via either the BBC or Sky Sports (I also think we will be getting the same thing with Max Chilton)

Money did play a part in Perez being signed, but as a Brit I would have taken Hulkenberg over Di Resta any day of the week, and as far as I am aware, he doesn't have any large backers??

I'm willing to stick a tenner on him being beaten by his teammate next year, and I don't even know who it is yet! Lol

Di Resta is NOT over hyped.

Is this a driver who bet Vettel in F3. A driver who took a two year old DTM car to great heights in his first ever season. He lead the Bahrain GP even after his team skipped a whole session. He would have been 3rd or even 2nd at Singapore had the safety car not came out.

Yes Hulkenberg came on quicker at the end and is a great talent but they were very very close all season. Macca had 3 options.

1) Take a British driver who is great at PR work, has worked with the team before, Has the same driving style as Button, Could of even sealed a longer Merc engine deal for them past 2014.

2) Take Hulkenberg who is very quick in the wet, great overtaker, Could also help with a Merc tie in, has German backing.

3) Take Perez who also has the same driving style as button, has Backing from his home country, can be very quick but also make mistakes, is younger than Di Resta and the Hulk.

I reckon Perez's contract is a year by year one and I feel if hes not up to buttons level, and Di Resta has a good year, itll be the Scot in the car unless Merc want him.

If being British carries so much weight in sealing a F1 ride, explain NK over Gary Paffett or Jamie Green.
