Someone correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the three accounts that are highly suggested to send an FR to are: CQR Aero, MSA TORA GT and MSA TORA GT 2?

I sent one the MSA TORA GT just now, seems that I had none in my friends list.

Just for the record, I completely forgot to switch over to the Sprint Series livery before qualifying, but I fully intend to do it before race invites go out. Embarassed

Is this "tolerable"?

CQR Aero is not a definite. You should only send him a friend request to send him your paint for the Spotter's Guide. You should have MSA TORA GT 2 added.

TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion - Page 19 Empty Re: TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion

Post by Guest Wed 20 Feb 2013 - 1:06

Have been putting this off due to embaressment, but feel I should post why I havn't been able to show up for any of the races since week one.

For the past 4/5 weeks, my internet has been highly restricted due to BT (British Telecoms to the U.S/European folk) upgrading our area to Infinity broadband, whilst also not informing us that in local areas some of the cabling had been siphoned or something.

It really does hurt as me and the rest of the Jaguar team put alot of effort into the car and getting it prepared ready for the series, so to be unable to make the first half of a long-prepared event has knocked my confidence for the rest of the GT season.

I hope to return to the next season of the GT's, and in the meantime have already been preparing for the TCC and the TEC.

Good luck to everyone who's participating!

Maybe if you hadn't caused an incident in the previous round resulting in a Stewards Inquiry and a penalty you'd have been allowed to qualify Wink

As such I'd say you only had yourself to blame.

TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion - Page 19 Empty Why do we have a restriction on TCS/ABS/STM etc?

Post by MotoYeti Fri 1 Mar 2013 - 19:09

Can someone explain why there are so many restrictions on driver aids? In real world racing such as GT's, TCS and stability management programmes are widely used, so why not here? Just asking. Sad

TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion - Page 19 Empty Re: TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion

Post by Markius Fox Fri 1 Mar 2013 - 19:30

Well, for one, TCS is allowed in many of the series in TORA that the Real World counterpart would. TCS in FM4 however, can be a bit ham-fisted in it's application and the driver has no control over controlling the Traction Control System (like with those two dials on that yoke).

Stability Management in FM4 is even more egregious in application. With little practice, any driver on the game can manage without it on. I would happily drive with a Fanatec CSR with such a yoke setup where I could control those settings (and they do make them). But at current, the game is limited in it's abilities, developmentally and functionally.

Someone, please, correct me if I am wrong.

TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion - Page 19 Empty Re: TORA MSA GT Sprint Series - General Discussion

Post by Wooflers Fri 1 Mar 2013 - 20:13

Throughout my time in TORA I've gone from having automatic gearbox, full racing line, TCS/ABS/STM on, to absolutely nothing now (apart from the odd braking line Wink ), and that's all through practice.

I freaked out in the LM24h last year because I wasn't running a manual gearbox for my first stint. The lobby settings were then changed to manual, and really it's not that hard.

This year is the first time I'm running without TCS on, and I must say I wouldn't have it any other way. I've forced myself to not have it, and you become faster. it's true what they say, you really do.
