I've got a question about qualifying. It doesn't matter if you are 1st or 100th in qualifying?
Everybody has the same starting time?
It doesn't say anything in the rules about it.

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
Rephrase: we understood that rules for GT Endurance should be similar to ISCC. So even if you are in a lower lobby you can win by most laps / shortest end time. Is this correct? If yes, will there be a time offset in lower lobbies similar to ISCC (lobbies separated by 4 sec)? Rules are not clear regarding this.CRA Adder wrote:I've got a question about qualifying. Yes indeed there will be a lobby offset for lower lobbies and many thanks for pointing this out, I didn't realise it was missing. I will add this when I can

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
Any team entry which uses GT3 spec in both the sprint and endurance series must use the same car and paint
Is this absolutely mandatory, or do I have permission to use two separate liveries as long as I maintain the same theme between the two series? There are teams that do this in the real world.
For example, in the Grand-Am Rolex Series, Team Ganassi will use a livery for the Daytona 24 but a separate one for the rest of the season. They are both sponsored by Target/Telmex, but make use of the sponsors differently.

So what I get from this and my post is that "We want it to be different series, where things are done differently. However, we are to enforce parody between the different championships because we're giving them both the same title.?
I think this is where I thought I could run some creativity...

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
During the test sessions, some TORA staff had said at the test session, there needed to be different paints for sprint and enduro. That added to myself's and hailfire's confusion too

How about you make whatever it was you were going to do, and show Simon and the crew and see if they think it's ok. I assume it'll be alright if it's just minor changes... Like sponsors etc, right..?Hailfire97x wrote:SelectiveRogue wrote:CMGraphix wrote:mopar, essentially they are two different series. It just so happens they are also being scored together.

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
I don't know why you guys think this is complicated, it's simple, the same livery for both, except you have the black numbers boards and the GT3/4 badge for Endurance, and the white boards for the sprint...

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
Curious, why do do we have to have the same livery for every driver on a team? I know in the real series this not always true.
Don't mean to stir anything but never really thought about it before

I would have thought that would be ok. The team identity remains the same, as long as the entry is obviously recognisable as x team's entry I wouldn't see that as a problem.
As an example, the Beechdean Aston that runs in British GT and the car that ran in the Blancpain Endurance Series had minor alterations to sponsors and positioning. Mobil 1 appears on the car in BGT and Total replaced that in BES. Also a couple of other small sponsors swapped positions between series.
These sort of changes are what happen in real life, I think what is being looked at here is COMPLETE changes of paint schemes that fundamentally alter the identity of the car/team.
In the end, it's down to what a team would like to do. If they want the additional work of extra paint jobs then that would be up to them. As the main painter for Beechdean, I will be going that extra mile for authenticity
As long as the complete number of required paint schemes are passed over to Aero for inclusion in the Spotters Guide then it's all gravy
Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
If you must know, having the same paints makes it easier for our commentators of which will be doing both sprint replays, and enduros live, it will add to the storyline of the season, and it was a way of getting more people into GT4 for a better split.
The ruleset has been set up for the season to be adhered to, I doubt any staff had said that different paints must be used as everyone behind the scenes all know the rules, and it seems pretty much all of the community did also.
Now nearly every season has had one or two teams run a special livery for one particular event, and in this sense this season is no other. I have run a one off paint before, but for the rest of the season, if you want to run GT3, it'd be the same car and same paint.

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
I don't get how some people have trouble understanding the rules, makes wonder if they actually read the rules and regulations.

Re: TORA MSA GT Endurance Series - General Discussion
I do read the rules and regulations. I just wondered why there was this rule in the most odd of places to begin with (the *carlist* thread, not the livery thread) and was wondering if this was an oversight that wasn't edited out. Like Outlaw pointed out, there was originally supposed to be 3 numberboxes sent out for the three different points series (Sprint, Enduro, and World) and that got changed down to there only being a Sprint and Enduro plate, without the World. Therefore, since there was already a change of plan, I thought this was something that was just missed.
I mean, hell, even the TORA President sees where I'm coming from and what I'm asking, and that he's doing something similar to what I wanted to do.

I was just curious for the authentic feel of it, like Matt said. But I get why it helps for the commentators and such. All is good and end well cheers guys, can't wait for some more TORA TV, I have definitely missed those
